Hi everyone I got a question if anyone can answer. Do i have to send NEC their sample back each time with mines or do i just send them my sample alone for them to critique. I had a small problem over here where as my daughter's cat got into the sample they send me and eat half of the bird and broke the eggs for the glitter nest. I'm workin on my first try with it and now i dont have a nice sample to work from so i got to figure a few things out.

Hi Debbie,
No, you don't have to send their sample back. Just your finished product. Perhaps you can put the nest back together or at least close to it? Tammy |

You could also email NEC and let them know what happened and see if they could send another sample. It's worth a try anyway.

Hey Debbie.....nice post on 10/26. I love it when crafters think positively, like you do...sure makes life easier and more pleasant. I love listening to Joyce Meyers too.
Hey Cheryl...Kim...Kathy...great to see you are still crafting away. I was catching up reading....quit posting a while back...and just had to say hey! I'm finishing up 50 of those little clay snowmen....still plugging away at them....have 2 more batches to make then I'll get my starter kit money refunded. After thats done, think I'll retire him....takes me too long to make him and I tend to get frustrated. I prefer making the magnets....I can get 50 of those out in just a few days. Later, Char

Thank you Char. I just love listening to Joyce as I craft. It seems to power me up and recharge my spirit. There's so much negativeity in the world around us. It's so refreshing to hear positive things to help us grow.
I just started the snowman. Who knew making a snowman could be so challenging? The hat was the easy part, had some good tips on making it. Getting the body right is trying. Fun though. Happy frafting everyone Debbie |

Hi ladies,
I have been lurking here, and wish to let you all know that men can do crafts too! I have been crafting 30 years. I got some starter kits from NEC recently and after looking over their kits and watching the instructional video for one project, and reviewing NEC policy, I have decided to not proceed with doing these kits. My fingers are too large and my eyes not so good. I have instructional CDs for the Penguin and the Snowman (wool wrapped snowman) which cannot be returned with the kits. If anyone is interested in buying these CDs, contact me. I will sell both for $25 including first class mailing. email me at jpstrap@verizon.net |

Hi Char,
Glad to hear the snowmen are coming along. I know they've never been your favorites, but they sure are cute. From working on the kitty magnet, I didn't think the magnets would be that fast to do. Maybe after doing them for awhile, assembly line style, they would speed up. Doing just 1 at a time, you really waste a lot of time waiting for things to dry and figuring out how to do the various steps. Lately, I've put them aside for other things. I've been busy doing 'grandma' projects in addition to the projects that I'm approved on. Good things come in bunches. After waiting 10 years for our first grandchild, we're getting a second granddaughter around the holidays. First granddaughter is my son's child, and the second one is my daughter's baby. Now instead of making 1 thing, I'm making one for each of the granddaughters. Such fun )Check in again... Kathy |
