Hi Everyone...
I am new to the boards and to NEC.
I ordered the Clay Snowman and the "Demon Horse" kit
I did well on both, but did not pass. It took 2 weeks to get my inspection back. It was in positive spirits.

I needed to fix my snowman arms.. I think the fabric wire was really thin. I emailed to ask for advice, but did not get a reply yet. Anyone have any advice?
I had some minor things on the horse... but the faux fur in the kit was very thin, and that was one of the problems... how do I fix that? and the saddle was "too large" but it was identical to the sample size.
All in all, the inspection was decent. I am sure they see lots of these everyday. I am a perfectionist, so I am really looking at my own detail.
Did "justmeuc" get the demon horse to pass?
Anyone working the clay snowman?

honeysuckle, good to have another Snowman fan. Although I'm doing the fiber one, I do think the clay one is cute too. He caught my eye. Glad to hear that your 1st critique went well and it sounds like you've almost got it down! Sorry I can't offer you any advice for fixing his little arms, and I dunno if anyone is working the clay snowman on the boards that I've heard of. But if so...I"m sure someone will chime in here shortly.

Sounds like your one of us already. I've found that there are alot of perfectionists on the boards, so you'll fit right in! Don't be too hard on yourself...it's best efforts that are equally important.

You know what I bet they do see alot of samples daily and passing can be trying...but every now & again one of us makes it! Maybe it will be you next! It's a little like winning the lotto you just never know?!?! Best of luck and I look forward to hearing about your NEC adventures. Nanc

Hi ladies! I mailed off my kitty magnet yesterday, so I am keeping my fingers crossed that it will pass. Mine looked lots better than the sample but I am worried about the eye placement and the whiskers LOL.
Good Luck to everyone here!

For those of you who have been sending in thier samples. How long has it been taking everyone to hear back after sending in your sample. I sent in my magical lovebirds about a 1 1/2 weeks ago and was just wondering how much longer it may be.

Hi Ruschele, I dont know for sure but from what I have read on these boards, it could take 2 weeks to maybe a month to hear back? I hope not longer? Someone correct me if I am wrong, lol.

a month??? wow!! I thought I read on thier forum that they changed things a little so that the inspections wouldn't take as long. I'm guessing that isn't the case.

Ruschele, it took 2 wks for both KrazyKate & I to get our critiques back...but we're both in Texas. I'm hoping you get yours back in record time!

tink28 thx it's easy to be positive with everyone being so supportive on these boards it's contagious. I hope you hear back soon about your penguin. Wrapping the little balls can be challenging...finger cramps!Ouch!

Good Luck to everyone waiting on their good news! Nanc
