It's sooooo quiet here. Where did everybody go...

SuperFamicom, I don't know about the LMB, but most of us don't make $6 per hour. If someone feels that they make that much, please chime in. For me, it's something that's enjoyable to do, and I can do a lot in the evening in my easy chair, so I'm using time that otherwise would be unproductive. You have to factor in that you're doing this from your home and on your own schedule, too. I don't have to get dressed up, drive somewhere and work when someone else tells me to work doing what they tell me to do. For me that's worth a lot. However, it's up to you to decide what it's worth to you. This does not work for everyone.

Good luck Di! Hope this one's the one for both.

I've been thrifting & yard sale hunting. I love this time of year. I bagged myself some good deals on vintage fabric & craft books. We drove to Portsmouth Ohio, about an hour & half away, to go to my favorite book store ran by Goodwill. Also stopped at one of their stores and got the deal on the fabric. No good yard sales this week, maybe next week end. Hoping for some community sales.

Now I can get back to crafting...Got the angel done. Looks great! Maybe this one will pass. Will mail Tuesday.

Got the LBs almost finished. Got ready to glue the birds on when I realized I forgot their feathers!!! Yikes! They should be dried enough to mail out Tuesday.

Still struggling with the "toe" (#4). They sent the stiff material this time. It keeps coming unglued. I liked the material with the fuzzy stuff inside better. It was easier to work with. This may take a while. Oh well if this doesn't pass by #6 I'm trading for a felt project. I like felt.

Almost have enough saved up to get a TD kit! Yeah. Will set some of my yard sale money aside to get a kit.

Good luck everyone!

Hi all, I have been away for a while. Been busy. Di, You know all my story. Call Me. I have missed talking to all of you though. I have been SOOOO LAZY when it comes to doing my sample for my craft. But I've been throuhg a lot and trying to iron out things first before I can focus on doing my sample. I certainly don't want to mess it up. Things have been smoother lately, and I hope to get back on track soon. Gingerbread (Cindy) I saw back around page 141 that you wanted to learn to knit. I have taught myself to knit and crochet with a few books. I'm not talented at knitting but have become very good at crocheting over the last 5 years. The books are I CAN'T BELIEVE I'M KNITTING AND LEARN TO KNIT IN 10-20-30 MINUTES. ALSO I CAN'T BELIEVE I'M CROCHETING, AND LEARN TO CROCHET IN 10-20-30 MINUTES. If you are going to knit buy both books or crochet same thing. Theree are different tips and helpful instructions in both books, but together they give a clear explaination of what to do. You can find all four books at Michael's or JoAnn Fabrics for $7 or $8 each. Also I recommend metal knitting needles or crochet hooks over plastic. They are easier to use. There are also a ton of free knitting and crochet patterns on joanns.com and all over the WWW. Hope this was helpful.

Di!! You called me Michelle on page 141 or 142? I'm Kelly Silly. Ballroom dancer. LOL. Michele is MIKI. I haven't heard from you in a while Hope all is well. Call me anytime. I hope to come visit you sometime if I can ever get a chance hopefully before I start school again in the fall. I might change my major to either culinary arts or deign or maybe fashion design. Not sure. Also you would be so proud of me. I went to a ballroom dancing charity event and was able to dance for a little while withouut getting to exhausted. I think I'm getting better. It just takes patience.

I enjoy knitting and crocheting, too. I've done a lot of crocheted baby booties lately. I have a new grandbaby and my daughter's friends are starting to have babies now, too. I crocheted a beautiful cristening gown, bonnet, and booties for my granddaughter. It turned out great. She didn't exactly enjoy it, but it will be put away for a family heirloom.

It's interesting--you can really tell your tension level by the tightness or looseness of your knitting or crocheting.
