Put your sample in a zip lock bag and tape down to inside of box so it does not move around then pad well with newspaper ect.
I believe you must try 5 times before they let you switch or get 1/2 money back or you can keep trying same project.
Most people take3-5 times to pass (me included!)
Stick with the projects that you like to do, most people say the new mags are the easiest, but I cannot paint or write well being left handed, so I do what I know best hand sewing.
The ladies at NEC are very good at explaining the projects.

Well, I've been floating around the boards for awhile now and have finally decided to try NEC. My last venture was AdRaker which seems to have failed. (I guess it is fortunate that I only lost $10 on that one!)
Anyway, I'm being brave and I've ordered the Santa Suit. I'm nervous about the cutting of the felt, but other than that it sounds like something I can do.
I ordered with priority shipping, so I hope to see the kit in a couple of weeks.
I'll keep y'all updated on how it goes. I appreciate seeing comments from everybody here...

Good luck with the santa suit. Let us know how you do with it when you get it.

Good luck on the santa project, have not seen anyone make posts on it yet. Be sure you have small SHARP sissors, they really help on the cutting of felt.

I have been reading past posts and it seems like alot of people here have tried the scottie magnet. Is that fairly easy? Is their any sewing involved on that one? I can't sew a stich... Also, I thought I read somewhere that NEC is going to come out with a new wedding line in the future. Is that correct? I would really be interested in that line, I think. I am going to mail in my 1st sample for inspection today or tommorrow.

That sounds like a good idea. Instead of using the paper and cutting it all to shreds. Thanks for the tip..........Sharon

I figured I would try something I haven't seen any posts about. That way, I could give my input and others could have a chance to decide whether or not to try it!

Thank you for the tip about the scissors, blessed. I will be sure to practice cutting some felt first too!

When the kit eventually gets here, I'll let you know how it goes!

hi! I'm brand new to this site, and noticed that there was a thread for NEC and had to read it! I've been approved on several of their projects (just magnets though). I was doing pretty good with working for NEC until I got pregnant with twins. then I was too tired/sick to do much. then I got put on bedrest, and couldn't do anything. then I had premie twins to take care of. now that they're 5 months old I might have a chance to work for NEC again in a few months when they can sit on the floor and play rather than thinking they need to be held all the time.

but they have changed the designs a bit since I was last able to send in any work. so I think I'm gonna have to get approved on the new designs again when I do send something in. *sigh*

but I really just wanted to say hi to all those doing NEC since I sorta am too.
