Dear Snapdragon, Well, the sign-up went ok...I looked around the job offerings....well, one step at a time. I think I will try an employment agency as you advised, seems like a good idea! Now back to the kitty cat magnet...

Keep with it and you will find something, Pammy. I moved here to central Florida almost 3 months ago and began looking a job. My problem is having 4 children and one that needs daycare. LOTS of jobs...with little pay!!!! Taxes, gas, and daycare taken out left me very very little!!!!!!!!! Why work out of the house when I can try in house and make even more than I would bring home. Sad when someone who has a 4 year degree in criminal justice and over 15 years law enforcement can't get something that pays descent. Talk about depressed! Back home the unemployment office was great! Good luck!

Hello Jen,

You are right about working from home and making more money. I really do beleive that will be the near future for companies and employees. It is just in its early stages since the internet is fairly new. What's best is that we work as independent contractors.

Hello and Yes, I agree, even with a college degree most companies expect you to work for little pay and be dang happy they even let you in the door! I for one am so sick of it - but will continue to try. As far as working at home being the next big thing - I thought of that about a year ago - when I got tired of working for people who didn't know how to schedule work or even give their employees (on the production floor) the time of day. I wanted to work for myself, schedule my own work and manage my own time! I started to investigate various "work at home" companies...and I looked at a few....and read all kinds of blogs about them. I decided to try NEC, even before they laid me off for no reason. Honestly, the HR guy could not give me a reason! He said it came from the owner. Well, I am tired of being chained to a work bench, having all kinds of people watching my every move, having my ideas stolen, and then used to make others more $$$$$$...enough. I will try this and see how it goes. Of course I'll see what is out there as well. Ah, it felt good to vent again. I feel like a fish out of water and in a daze. Sorry, this is supposed to be about our work at home crafting. Some of you have been soooo nice with encouragement & advice. I really appreciate it !

Hugs, Pammy

Hi Pammy--I am so sorry about what happened to you--You have every reason to be upset and angry Don't feel bad about venting--everyone needs to do that when they have a loss and you have had a big loss. After a while things will seem better but you mustn't let your anger take away your perspective. I feel that all things happen for a reason and soon things will look better--you will find a new job and we girls will behere tosee you through this. Keep your chin up and just remember that "every cloud has a silver lining"--how sorry about that Take care--thinking about you and wishing you the best--Susan
