kpool - I remember something about craftcosigners, and the owner getting cancer; perhaps when things are less hairy, they will send everything back to you? *crossing my fingers*

Is this something that someone who's never done latch hook could succeed at?

Is this job making the rugs (or pieces), sending them to the company and being paid for that work?

Thanks for your help
Michelle

Latch hooking is pretty simple to learn. It's following their pattern on the rug canvas and completing either squares for them in the beginning and later completing the center section of the rug and possible the 4 sqares in addition. They work with you during your training and let you know if improvements need to be made. You get paid either way.

As far as the whole rug, I sent them an email asking and they replied that although it certainly depends on the time one has to spend they usually receive the whole rug back within a few weeks. It's been 3 weeks for me so far but I've hardly worked on it during the holidays, etc. I've maybe put in an hour a day, some days none. I plan to get back to trying to do a couple hours a day.

Hi, I see a lot of posts about doing the prayer rug and it seemsyou all arehappy workers. But I like many of you are leery of work at home projects. I have tried to check out this company with the BBB under the three names I have found it listed under and can't find any info on them. I also tried using the address with no luck. Has anyone been able to check them out ?

I've learned from several ventures that not all companies choose to be a BBB member. However, the BBB will report ANY negative feedback whether the company is a member or not. I also tried to look them up under their parent company name. I decided I loved latch hooking and after they answered several of my questions very promptly, I figured it would be worth a try. So far everything has been great. I love to latch hook so it's like revisiting an old hobby and the extra money is just icing on the cake.

Thanks craftygal. I understand that the BBB doesn't require you to be a member and that there may not be any BAD feedback on them but shouldn't they show up as a business?

Hi Donna,

I'm sorry, maybe I misunderstood your questions. I thought you meant you did a search with the BBB on the companies?

If a company is not a member of the BBB then they will not show up on that website when you search. Only if there is negative feedback will it show.

Is that what you meant?

Thanks again craftygal. Yes I did a search ..or rather tried to find them listed. I thought that even if no complaints had been made or if they were not a member they would show as a company in Virgina. GuessI was wrong in my understandingThanks for your prompt reply though

You may try a google search for the companies? I think I did that and found them or at least one of them. Let us know!
