Thanks craftygal for telling us about how to do the cross, I don't think my cross was right on the one I mailed off but when I get my next one I'll know better! All these questions have really been helpful, I should have inquired before I started on the cross but I was sooo anxious to start that I just took my chances!

Hey your welcome! I know some are not marked right, some are not even in alignment and I've made adjustments for that too. I'm not sure who marks them. If you turn over the canvas though it's real easy to see that it's all symetrical.

UH OH sounds like there are some problems. Hope you can all get them worked out. As for the edges of the squares for my cross-stitch I always use masking tape. It seems to come back off the easiest. I would worry about duct tape pulling it apart more when you take it off.

Didn't get my kit yet! I haven't even gotten an email yet that they were sending it. Will wait another day or two and email them. Good luck.

I used masking tape for the top part of the canvas that was coming apart. I tape the top as soon as I saw that some of the canvas was pulling apart. Once I finished my square, I carefully removed the tape.
Well no kit today.

Hey Girls,

I've been "looking" at my square all afternoon! It's not evenat all!! I have just made adjustments so that the cross is even on all four sides! Same number of rows from top to first "arm" and then same number of rows from bottom of armsto bottom of cross. Also "arms" are both even number of rows wide and the same number of rows across from middle! At least the cross looks even! My canvas was totally marked wrong! Thanks Crafygal for setting us all straight on how the cross should be from the ends! etc 2,4 and then 6 ! Hope this makes sense!! Thanks, Becky Can someone tell us exactly how many rows the cross should be when finished? Also how many rows of black do you have around the edges of the cross after you are done?

I just make sure the cross is even up/down and sideways. The background doesn't matter as much as it will end up in the corner of a rug most likely. When you turn it over you can definitely tell. Not sure why that is or who marks it. Crazy!

Hey Craftygal,

I've been working on my first square. I made adjustments and it seems to have worked out fine!! I think!! I almost have the cross finished and now just have to fill in the background. I think I saw this question posted earlier but I'm not sure youor anyone else answered it yet..... How do you package or mail your squares back to them? What kind of mailer or whatever do you use? Boy are we all glad you are in this for the long haul for us!!! You've been a great help to me! Thanks again, Becky
