Tax Question Answered

As far as I know when working as an independant contractor if your yearly earnings are $600 and more you will have to pay out the tax you owe.

I know this because I worked as a contractor for two other companies before and had to pay out taxes when filing year end taxes but check this with your tax consultant. Maybe every State could be different as well. Hope this helps.

I agree, anything over $600 a year we should be reporting to the IRS. Some companies send 1099's to us and the IRS and some do not.

Keep track of any expenses you incur such as the portion of shipping we pay, etc and that can be deducted against the income we make.

This sounds like something my niece would love to do..Do they have a site that I can forward to her? And would it be easy for her to learn? Is $40 all you earn from them? That sounds like not much? Or Am I wrong?

Thanks

Hi,

The $40 is what they eventually pay for the center section of the rug. Here's the link and you can read all about the program. You'll also want to click on the ebook at the bottom that has registration details. It's been a lot of fun!

True. Only some companies give you the form. 4 years ago when I worked for one company as an Independant contractor I could not wait for the 1099 form because my husband likes to file early. So I just took all my payslips with me. A few weeks after I filed my taxes did the form arrive. Lucky I had all my payslips.

Latch Hooking is very easy to master. Even my teen daughter latch hooks. I bought her a Winnie the Pooh to latch Hook and she loves it. It does take time to latch hook but you can do this while watching tv, in bed ect.
