Something I learned recently is that GoodWill takes old computers or parts like screens keyboards and sends them on to Dell. Dell wipes the hard drives and refurbishes, loading it with new sofware ect. GoodWill then takes them bk and distrubutes to families that have children who have have no comps in their homes and in their work centers all across America. I usually get at least a 500.00 tax ded. and if you work at home every bit of that helps! I am comfortable sending my on but if you are not remove the hard drive. They'll replace it.

Default That's great.

That is such a great deal. Lucky you. I bought a used DVD player once (no refunds, no guarantees that it worked) and it didn't. So I was out $10. You definitely scored.

My hubby went to our local GoodWill the other day to find some new shows for our walking toddler. They only had one pair, but they were $3 - and they looked good! Surprise.

You can definitely find great things at the local thrift shops. My problem is finding ones that aren't overpriced. Any ideas?

Default pawn shops

I have a friend who has a pawn shop who is always looking for laptops, gaming systems, games, old cell phones. This is another way to get some money out of your old items, too.
