<DIV =post>This is an easy recipe and would be great for a childs birthday party.

Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes For Kids

1 box cake mix
30 flat-bottom ice cream cones
frosting

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare cake mix according to directions on package. Pour 1/4 cup of batter into each ice cream cone, filling each about 1/2 way full. Place cones in a rectangular baking pan. Bake as directed on cake mix package for cupcakes. Let them cool completely before frosting them with your favorite frosting. This recipe will make 26-30 cupcake cones.

I tried this last year for my sons birthday, and since I am challenged when baking or cooking, this was actually a simple treat. Icing was a little messy but still good!!

A tip from the kitchen challenged - children love to frost their own cupcakes

Yeah, apparently my son is as just as challenged as me in the kitchen, he had frosting everywhere. It was even in his hair, but my oldest nephews was beautiful. i asked him if he was going to be an Ace of Cakes one day.. He stated that he loves doing it and wants to grow up to be a baker.. He's 6.
My ds birthday was yesterday so we did this again for all of his school classes. WOW I never knew icing could be so messy but fun!!
