One of the best ways to promote your internet business and YOU as a professional in what you do is to write and submit articles.

Write a few articles on a related subject about jewelry, then post it to the article directory sites.

You can also do a press release and use PRWeb for free, announcing that you have this new jewelry business.

Reciprocal links simplified: Find related sites that would compliment your own without them being competition, email them and ask if they'd like to exchange links.

Check your meta tags, as has been mentioned before in this thread. Pick relevant keywords and make sure your front page content mentions your top keywords.

Make a sign up for an ezine on your site. Give them something for free, such as a "how to clean jewelry" article or ??

You must try and ensure that your marketing efforts are not wasted on a clientele which doesnt need your product in the first place.With a combination ofoffline and online marketing it would be ideal if you reach your target audience first and inform them about the products you have to offer on your website.

I have heard of popular ventures like online and offline bizzops bith in MLM's like Trump , Emerald etc. But how far do they go ? Competition is hotting up and they offer quite low commissions too. I find this all a sham actually.

I would like to tell my experience with buying leads,buying traffic


and even renting a list.These methods are a waste of time.


Leads are usually sold again and again.


I suggest trying a way to capture emails using a lead page,then market your site to those people.

I would suggest branding yourself. Think about it... if you are 1 of 100,000's of people selling jewelry with a company replicated site, what distinguishes you from the other 100,000+ Reps from your company?</span>

In my opinion, some key success factors for an online business are


a) content, content, content. Make it relevant and give it away.


b) Traffic (good relevant content will bring targetted traffic). With good content, people will visit you more than once. That need to happen 4-5 times before they will buy anything from you.


c) Build trust. People will buy from you (or from your site) if they get a consistent positive experience when they visit your site and if they have positive feedback from others about you andyour business.


d) Present them with the product they need (relevancy)and they will naurally buy it.This will be easy because they will have found a credible site which givesuseful and relevant information about something theyhave beenlooking for.
