Hi, I've just starting looking into medical coding. I plan to get an associates degree from my local community college (They offer all online classes). I know that you have to have 3-5 years experience before you start working from home, but I was wondering if it was difficult for you to find your first job in an actual doctor's office/hospital. I've been browsing the job listings in my area and they all require that you have years of experience. I just want to know if any medical coders can share their experiences with having their first job straight out of college/training. Was it easy to find work? Did you receive placement help from the school? What type of issues did you encounter with this? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance and sorry if this has already been asked.

Getting a medical coding job for a freasher is not so easy but do not loose your heart, you need to try and there are people who got jobs just outside from college. Remember there will be compitition for every job.
