Warmly,

Not really, as it turns out. The "mom" is in quotations on the moms' panel and here's what they say on their website:

"About the "Mom" Panelists

Disney realizes that the person who serves the "Mom" role differs from family to family. These "Moms" have been selected to be panelists because they have demonstrated an excellent knowledge of Walt Disney World® Resort.

So there you have it.

Disney is looking for a few good moms again!

Walt Disney World Moms Panel Starts Recruiting Again on September 8!
LAST UPDATE: 8/19/08 - MOST RECENT ADDITIONS ARE IN RED

Is a trip to Walt Disney World Resort your idea of the perfect family vacation? Do you know where to find the one and only campfire marshmallow roast at Walt Disney World Resort? Have you ever been to one of the resort’s baby care centers to change and feed your little one? Or maybe you and your family have visited so often that others have said you could write a book filled with travel tips? If so, Disney wants to hear from you.

In September 2007, as part of “The Year of a Million Dreams,” Disney announced the launch of a nationwide search for "moms" who had mastered the art of planning a Walt Disney World vacation.Twelve finalists were selected to serve on the first-ever Walt Disney World Moms Panel, an online forum of vacation advisors made up of everyday people who answer questions, offer advice and address specific concerns of families in the process of planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort.

Since they were selected, the twelve parents on the Walt Disney World Moms Panel have had the opportunity to share their vast knowledge of the resort and personal secrets of success with other families. In exchange, the panelists received a Walt Disney World vacation.

Disney will soon be recruiting a new round of 16 "moms" (of either gender) for a new 2009 panel of vacation advisors. Panelists will receive a trip to Walt Disney World from December 5-9, 2008.

If you would like to be considered for this special online opportunity, Disney will begin accepting applications on September 8, 2008, so start planning your application now! (In 2007, there was a 300-word essay requirement.) Further information about applying can be found online at disneyworldmoms.com/2009.
