I am now scared I might deactivated too! I close out on pranksters after asking them if there is anyting else I can find for them, much like the knowledgebase tells us to do! Almost all of the time pranksters start off friendly and then turn the search into a prank, so I don't know how he can even tell you that it is hard to beleive. Maybe if they spent some time doing what we do, and be a quide for even just an hour they will see what the pranksters are all about. So aggravating! [img]smileys/smiley7.gif[/img]

Everytime I hear a Guide get deactivated these days, who doesn't seem to deserve it, it really gets me down. They do seem to be on the increase, don't they??
Poisonchick: Did Cha Cha ever call you or tell you in some way why you were deactivated? I don't think you ever said why...I may have missed it. Just curious.
You know, in a roundabout way being deactivated, may be good? It "forces" you now to find something better than Cha Cha, whereas before there wasn't that pressure. Not that I like hearing anyone being deactivated, but just thought that might help. I hope you find something better Mz Lady Love. Good luck.

Ummmm............that's not true. If ChaCha discovers an error in pay; they can withdraw it from your FIB account. Now, we know how above board Cha Cha runs when it comes to being honest about "errors".

It's in the agreement.


It does suck though they fired someone because of transfers. ChaCha just sucks.

Happily though they look like they are about five minutes from crashing into that brick wall they've been trying to avoid. Personally, I can't wait. I'll probably throw a party the day ChaCha finally goes under.

NOPE never heard a word, No call No email NOTHING. But I assume it was because of my negativity within the last few weeks. But I really don't care anymore why. But I hope they know that when you screw someone over retaliation takes in effect. I have always been professional in all jobs, from managment, supervisor, owner & operator, to general laborer, and as a chacha guide. NEVER was I not. Yes I admitt I was very vocal in my dislikes, but also in good things, I am still posting helping guides etc. I don't have anything against anyone that is trying it, but I do have something against people who badger me for voicing my opinion. I will comment on thiers the same as they do mine.


Why was I deactivated, my guess that I will hold to, no matter what the idiots at ChaCha HQ or anywhere else says, is that I had a message board and bashed chacha on it, also for voicing my opinions here and elsewhere. Lurkers are everywhere and some work for HQ and other's for the official forum. I know as 2 lurked in my board. They can admit or deny it I really don't care, when going into the detective business people need to remember NOT to use e-mail addy's or pictures that are recognizable. Come on I am not the smartest lightbulb but I am not completly burned out yet.


Also to note I will NOT say names so don't ask they know WHO they are and what they did. Frankly I hope they got a laugh, because I did also. I do not miss ChaCha at all how can you possibly miss something that is constantly messing up, changing the rules, decreasing money, decreasing time limits, deactivating without a legit reason...and they want guides to give legit results[img]smileys/smiley36.gif[/img]


Frankly they have poor business sense, NO MATTER who Scott A Jones is. I have read enough to know almost the type of underwear he wears.


WHO cares about his achievements, I am afraid he failed at this one, ChaCha without a guide may not last, but I am sure they will keep ChaCha search engine open, after all the guides have built up what his initial intention probably was. "Hire people get our engine up and going, deactivate them" As MS.Perfect says ChaCha sucks. It sure did when I tried searching with a guide the other night, 8 minutes and finally results. I could and should have googled it.

That's why you lock message boards down. Rah Rahs and Cha Cha "employees" will go as far to register on locked message boards just to spy. It's actually funny that people have that little of a life.

I think ChaCha has bigger problems then what's posted on a message board, but I guess not. It's also really funny to me that instead of getting to the root cause of all the complaints, ChaCha threatens, bullies and goads people into doing what they want.

I must say, I have been sitting back and reading about how ChaCha has been deactivating guides lately. I am not sure if it is in their contract that once you are deactivated you are not paid. Even if it is in their contract I really do not think they can do that (even though they clearly are). If all (or a great majority) of the guides join together they could really come down hard on this company. Guides make this company what it is. Start reporting them! Report them to the BBB, report them to Ripoffreport.com, just report them any place you can. I know that there are some people on here who even write articles and such... have you ever thought about writing a review on ChaCha and how they treat their guides? GMA did their side of the story and the public believes this is a "wonderful" company. Let GMA know what is really going on behind the scenes. If they wont listen maybe Dateline can do an undercover story on it LOL [img]smileys/smiley2.gif[/img]Let them know you are tired of being treated this way.
