Not sure if this is the place to ask this question. About a month ago I checked into doing heir finding for the state I live in. I called my state as I saw an ad on Craigslist someone advertising this. The state did state it was legal and as an heir finder you could collect a finders fee not more than 10% of the total amount. I'd really like to do this but I am trying to find sample letters online to write and can find none. If anyone on here does this and might be willing to share some of your letters I'd really appreciate it. I know there can be lots of money in this. It's just actually finding that large amount of money and the person who it belongs to is the key.
Any input anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Honestly, I wouldn't waste my time. The second you tip off a person that they have unclaimed money somewhere, it is too easy to hop on the internet and locate it themselves.
