Default fiverr gigs

Am wondering has anyone ever seen the fiverr.com gigs where people say they will give you
" 6 ready made, fully monetized, professionally designed web sites for $5 " or something similar? f you have done this or something similar on fiverr please let me know how it turned out. And if you would share the website/blog that was made for you and if you are infact making any extra income from that site? If there where any additional fees you had to payout after the gig (i.e webhosting server, etc). If you care to share any additional info that would be great too.

Thanks
Kim

Since I build my own websites, I've never looked on Fiverr for ready made sites, but I can assure you that the $5 does not cover hosting. That's an ongoing cost and I can't imagine anyone offering to host a website for a one-time fee of $5.

Can you tell me are there any sites out there that you can actually monetize and not pay a hosting fee? Aren't there like blogs and what not for you can get for free and not cover hosting fees?

I'd really like to do this but paying hosting fees is not in my budget at all right now. All extra monies go to either buy food or pay for bills.

I'm sure the sties you would get are microniche sites, and you could make money with them, IF You get traffic. Traffic is the hardest part.

Free options for you would include making a wordpress.com site or a blogger.com site. But again, that's not isntant money. Traffic takes time, sometimes months.

The general idea is that you would build a blog about a certain topic, or niche. Then "monetize" it by putting ads on the blog. It's called affiliate marketing. There's a whole board for that on wahm here. Affiliate marketing is generally free to get into, which is great, but like I keep saying, it's not overnight money.

There are plenty of free blogging sites out there, but you take a big risk when you use them to generate an income for yourself. You can get a fantastic blog going on one of those sites, start making some great money, and wake up one day to find out they took your blog down. All the work you put into getting that blog going and all the content you put on it would be gone in the blink of an eye. That's why it's better to buy your own domain name and get your own hosting.

You can buy your own domain name and it will cost you about $10 a year or less. You can get a hosting plan at HostGator for about $4 a month. As you grow your site and start to make money, you can upgrade your hosting plan.

fiverr is great for getting people to put together content for articles or websites. the articles we've had put together have been great but i wouldn't expect a great website for $5!

I've used a Fiverr gig where someone created a WordPress autoblog for me. It wasn't anything mind blowing, but it was worth more than $5. If you are interested in purchasing a gig I'd suggest you ensure that the individual you are dealing with provides proof of their work. Many of the people on Fiverr are honest and provide good service, but you will come across some poor service at times. The great thing is you don't have to pay unless you are completely satisfied. Good luck.
