Default Working Full-Time/At Home Income

As mentioned previously I work full-time and am currently looking for a way to make a little extra money on the side. What do all of you do for your income on the side?

I'm currently trying a lot of sweepstakes sites and other little things like Amazon's MTurk.com, the pay isn't great, but I'm hoping to build many small sources to cash out monthly than one big one. Of course, if I could find one that paid well and would fit into my currently overly busy life that would be awesome too.

So what do all of you do?

If you run your own business, just how exactly do you find the time for it(the idea intrigues and at the same time frightens me *laughs* Super shy girl here

Thanks for any advice, tips, responses!

Hi, I am a super shy girl by nature and I have my own business on the side. At first it is a little scary but like everything in life it gets easier with time I have a full time job outside the house right now. I work a lot of overtime...I work nights and am supposed to work 5.. 8 hour nights per week, but I work at least 2 -12 hour shifts per week and sometimes more. The company that I have partnered up with has live webcasts that explain our business. While I have my clients on the line listening to/watching these.I am usually advertising and sending out emails. I take 15 mins three times per day to call contactst and set appointments also. Really, it just takes commitment on your part...I am VERY busy...I also have three kids. ..but I have decided this is something that I want to build for my family and myself. I have worked Mturk and other such sites ..and honestly I spend less time building my business and I make more money. Also, I like the fact that I am building residual income..which you cant with Mturk and other such sites. I hope I have answered your question...and sorry for the "book " lol. If you have other questions ..feel free to pm me

For seven years I've worked nights. I work full-time during the day and then when the kids go to bed (no later than 8), I go to work until 11 or 12.

Just looking at the points in your post I've highlighted I'm reminded what a problem all this was for me in the early days, and how little time I had to make any progress.

Happily I did overcome them (two years ago I dropped out my job, and now 'work' part-time out of my home as my sole income) and now I teach other how to make it work.

Can I ask you a question or two, then I may be able to advise you?

1) How much is a "little extra money on the side"?

2) If it was truly worth your while, how much time, at your convenience, could you put aside to get something going?

3) Given your perceived shyness, which may rule out face to face sales, have you considered online affiliate marketing?

I work with AmeriPlan and MatchRate PLUS. I started AmeriPlan just few days ago and MatchRate PLUS tonight. Its the only jobs I have, so I have a random schedule. I start working when I wake up so between 9am and 10am. And then work till 5pm. After 5pm, I'll check my email when I get a new request info. I have my email set up on my macbook so it automatically notifies me when I get a new message. No requests = no working after 5pm. If I get a request I'll quickly send the info out and that would be it, till the next email.

The couple sources of income you mentioned such as mturk pay very low. Even if you got really good at it your income per hour would not be great, but if you are just looking for some income on the side they can be okay. Luckily, there are tons of great options to make money online such as affiliate marketing, adsense, CPA etc.

I make extra money using several direct marketing programs. I can earn anywhere from $50 to $200 extra month as long as I'm active. I also generate money from my website by promoting pay per lead programs and affiliates. I make most of my money using freebies sites, but I understand that this is not for everyone. My suggestion would be to continue to research different programs and become a member of the sites that you feel will work best for you.

Default Spread the word at work...

A website or something online is not your only option. Expand your mind a little!

What are your creative talents? Picture yourself in the kitchen or sitting on your living room floor (after the kids are asleep of course!) making something. What could you create that you could sell?

Even though you are shy, it does not take a super-confident person to sell something to people you already know. Could you spread the word at work? Could you organise a morning tea with people you know on weekends and ask them to branch out to people that they know?

This article might help.

What I've got right now is my work at home. Full time 40 hours a week. But, I spend on the computer for about 12-16 hours daily. I need some extra work. I'm looking for an extra income as my earning is not enough.
