Wow, well said. I had not even looked at it that way. I shut my auto responder down because of wanting more personalized communication and use my name and my service provider. Exactly what you point out NOT to do. I was thinking those auto responders were trash and like junk mail. You are giving me reason to rethink that and fast!

Decide on if you want to be a leader or not.

If you don't want to be a leader and you only need to make a fraction of money you would make being a leader, because it's the leaders in businesses that make the lions share, then stick with the free stuff.

Another point about free versus paid auto-responder and hosting is a word called
"R-E-S-P-E-C-T" (sing it Aretha!). When I get emails from people promoting their business opportunities, and the emails are coming from a gmail or yahoo email account, I know that person is broke, the same goes for free websites. And nobody wants to join a business with a poor person. :0)

To be a leader you need:

Your own auto-responder (Aweber ect)

Website building software

Hosting

If you don't want to be a leader, chances are you're not going to make any real money. So, you might as well not purchase any tools.

We're on the same page about auto-responder messages, I agree with you 100%! Auto-responder messages are old school and people can tell when they are receiving pre-made messages, and you're right, most throw those in the spam.

I do not have many auto-responder messages setup myself, I have only 3 messages set up - two testimonial videos and a "Do you have any questions?" message.

In Aweber you can set it to show the messages are coming from whatever email address you decide.

The purpose for the auto-responder account is to have a welcome message set up and to be able to email your list all at once. If only you have 50 people on your list it's still difficult to email them individually. You have to put Hello (their name), on each one. Of course with Aweber or other service you just put Hello (first-name-fix), type the message and click send, and it sends to your whole list at once.......that's a lot easier.

So basically, without an email service, you'll never grow a big list, and as we all know, the money is in the list.

So yeah, it's great to have an auto responder service to send messages with, but not so great to use actual auto-responder messages. :0)

If you have any questions about what I wrote, please ask.
