This sort of hard to answer. What does success mean to you? For me, it has been a great place to meet people I probably would have never met otherwise. But I have not made any sales with Twitter. I would love to hear what those of you who are making money on Twitter are doing as well.

Twitter is just one more way to get your message out there to your audience.

So success can mean a lot of things to different people.

In my opinion, the only reason you should use it is to suck traffic from Twitter
to your personal website or whatever it is you promote online.

Don't spend too much time there either. Find ways to automate it.

I have had amazing success with Twitter. Think of it as open source lists. You can piggyback off the traffic of people and companies that have built followings before you. Check out Listorious: Twitter people search and lists directory to search for people already in lists and go to Formulists to build your own twitter lists from other users.

I love Twitter!

I LOVE twitter! Twitter has allowed me to network with many people that I never would have. As a result...turning them into customers.

Default Twitter

I have just recently set up a Twitter account, but I seem to have a good many people following me. People that I would never have known about otherwise.

As to whether or not any of them become leads, we'll see!

The biggest problem with twitter is that so many people are just spam spam spaming it with one thing after another, you can be on there and see 10 things from one guy in 2 minutes, that is ridiculous, so people don't even bother barley reading peoples stuff anymore, of course twitter works good for celeberties because they are celeberties and if they promote something people pay attention. It to bad twitter has gotton so bad for spaming, i personaly release good information on there to help people with online marketing, but i more or less use twitter as a time out, just to see whats going on, but thats about it.

It is best to try and create that connection with someone. Rather than putting your tweet out there and waiting for a reply, try retweeting someone's tweet or responding to someone's tweet. You've opened the door and started the conversation.

I love using Twitter myself. It's a matter of getting useful info to the people that can use it.
