Wow, I'm totally excited for you that you are back in the action again after beating up cancer. Congrats! We've recently lost a family member to cancer, and I feel like I can say that if you've gotten by it, that speaks so highly of who you are and your determination level in life.
There are some great posts above mine, but just to echo what's been said: 1. No matter what business you're in, its going to take some effort, particularly when you first start off. MLM can be done on a few hours a week, but my experience with this business has been that you get out of it what you put into it. That's ok, but you just have to be ok with the paycheck you're getting. For many people, getting a few extra hundred bucks a month is great-but if you're looking for more than that, it may require a greater time committment. 2. Be passionate and confident about what you choose to do. The only thing that's gonna carry you through any home-based business opportunity is being truly excited about it. As well, people will notice your authenticity, and that's what they'll be attracted to, especially in an MLM. Hope this helps! And, once again, congratulations on all your success! |

So glad you are licking this and able to work!
IMO the overemphasis on passion is troubling. Truth is, you can make a lot of money doing things you don't like and you can make nothing, working a ton of hours, doing what you love. Another truth, there is no guarantee! If you need stability, the BEST thing is to get a job working for someone else. (This can be at home.) At least then there is an obligation and expectation of pay. If you own a business you might make a ton and you might make nothing at all. NWM is an interesting animal. It's not "owning a business" in the usual sense. It's more like being a small franchisee or a commission worker. Some people do well. By far the vast majority of those who sign up lose money and far too many MLMs get most of their revenue INTERNALLY from the distributors. It's a very problematic business model although I think it can be set up ethically and reasonably, IMO they seldom are. If you want a guaranteed income because you're trying to get out of debt, going into a business (or an MLM) is probably not the way to go because both COST money and neither has a guaranteed return. There are a few business models that might work here, like teaching piano lessons, tutoring, hiring out services. If you can do something that brings in revenue without spending money, then each job is a small bit of guaranteed income. Good luck and stay well!

Wow, I admire your tenacity!!!!
I am new to the forums but saw your request and thought I would give a suggestion. I would advise you to take stock in how much time you want to invest in your biz first as I have personal experience regarding the health issue! Most businesses do take a fair amount of time. I was blessed with a great mentor who brought me into our current program as it has done extremely well with a little bit of work - it isn't always the case for everyone though. I started a small group locally called Women For Wealth and that has grown and merged with our business/marketing system to finally create the business that I wanted. We can be extremely helpful if you need the assistance! If you already have an MLM or business that you are struggling with, you can plug that into our system as well which makes it nice. The idea isn't necessarily to have people join, yet another, program. If you would like more info, I would be happy to discuss a little furthure. Our combined link is in my signature but I also encourage people to contact me if they have questions because that's what "networking" is all about! I wish you well and will be happy to connect for anything that you might need. Linda |

The business that you choose isn't as important as your willingness to learn and your determination to succeed. Anything you do is going to require some time and dedication. I am an Independent Rep for Fortune Hi-Tech Marketing. We reroute the products and services that people pay for on a monthly bases through our individual businesses and we teach other people how to do the same thing. I love it. It has truly changed my life and my finances. If you would like more information, please send me an email to hilaryish@yahoo.com Good luck and God bless!
Sincerely, Hilary Ish |

I go to thrift stores and find cheap vases and decorative glassware
Items usually cost me about 25cents each I fill each one with Decojels and add a little fragrance oil end up with a gorgeous air freshener that I sell at small church/school craft shows for $5 - $10 each. Decojels are the size of a small colored BB that when soaked in water, grow to the size of a marble when you add fragrance oil, they soak it in and then release it slowly over a few weeks time. when the marbles dry out, they return to their original size and can be resoaked in water to regenerate so I sell them as re-usable air fresheners. Most dollar stores sell fragrance oils for about a buck you can see a video of how they work if you do a yahoo search. I dont pay any mlm fees, no commissions, and I only buy the amount of decojels I need for each craft show so I don't have much tied up in supplies (about $20 at a time) You can even put live plants in a decojel mix, just clean the roots and dont add fragrance oil, just liquid plant food. They're gorgeous. pm with your address and I'll send you some free decojel beads to try out for yourself good luck Martin |
