Statistics and reality predicate that a business opportunity that you can start for $15 is very unlikely to be one that's worth starting. Setting up a business requires start-up and working capital. The "joining-fee" is only a very small part of it. It's also true that businesses you can join for $15 or under have, collectively, an appalling record anyway, for the predictable reason that the people you can attract yourself, having joined them, are low-commitment people who very often don't appreciate what's involved in setting up a home-based business. In the world of business opportunities, the words "free to join" are a major red flag, for good and valid reasons, however much the people (usually pretty briefly!) promoting them hate hearing it.
Getting a domain-name and hosting for $15, on the other hand, is extremely easy (and probably a far better bet - and I even say that as a network marketer, myself!). You can buy a .info domain-name at GoDaddy for about $1. You can buy a .com domain-name (probably much better?) for around $7/$8 if you shop around a little (NameCheap might be worth a look). You can get free hosting at Byethost.com or (better?) paid-for hosting through hostica.com for $1 per month for 1 domain only. You'll have to pay a $5 deposit too, but even that and a .com domain-name added together come to less than $15 and you're off to a professional start. ![]() And there are loads of other deals like that around, too. I'm not specifically recommending those places at all; they're just cheap, reliable ones that spring to mind. There are many others, too. Don't take "advantage" of any special offers to host your domain in the same place where you register the name, even if it saves money: this is a mistake! Good luck!

Description: The Associate Program is a unique program that enables a person to join the company with no signup or startup fees or monthly minimum purchase requirements. It allows members to purchase candles and other products at the wholesale price (approximately 15% to 30% more than what Autoship members pay) without being on the autoship program and without having any monthly minimum purchase requirements. And you can have a website for just $14.95 a month. That's why I love this company I am with because of the options we offer!

I agree with Yuliya.
Be wary of no, or low cost business opportunities. Do your research and post any opps you are thinking about in here for opinions. You can also check out IM Report card IM Report Card - Internet Marketing Ratings, Reviews and Discussion. This is a site where people rate business opportunities and services. If you are serious about building a blog or website you should definitely purchase your own .com domain (under $10/year). GoDaddy is highly recommended by many (I have been using them for years). Keep your hosting service separate from your domain service. There are many dependable hosting services available and there are a couple of threads in this forum that discuss this. Byethost is the absolute best free hosting you can find. I have 3 sites that have been hosted there for almost 3 years now and have had zero issues with them. I have a post on my computertactics.com blog that will walk you through (step by step) setting up totally free hosting at Byethost, setting your domain name, and installing WordPress for blogging. Hope this helped.

I could be wrong but it seems like the ones in that price range often require you to carry inventory that you might be stuck with if you can't sell it too... don't know if you are game for that.

Why don't you try websites that allow bidding? They can be a good option like Elance etc.

I have mixed thoughts about businesses you can start for $15 or less. Some of them are going to be scams, but there are legitimate businesses that can be started for under $15. I know because I've recently done it. Last September, I started a freelance writing business and it did not cost me a dime to get started since I already had a computer and internet. I actually got my start by helping other writers with their overflow and branched out from there. This business has been very low cost for me. All I do is research and write and get paid for it. Of course, if you don't enjoy researching and writing, then this probably isn't the right business for you. My point though, is that you can start a legitimate money-making business for under $15.
I created my website with yola.com for free. It's very simple to use and set up. They do offer other more complex services for so much a month, but I didn't need these for my business. As far as a domain name, I got mine at godaddy.com and it is a .com name. I think it was around $8, but not positive. I know I paid more then $15 for it, but that is because I opted to pay to have it for 2-3 years. Good luck in your quest! It can be done!! |

Don't know if you're interested in Avon, but everyone knows they're reputable. They have sign up specials often as low as $10 (when I was a manager with them.) And they start you off with a free website.
Anyway, I hope you find an opportunity that's right for you and your interests.

Affiliate Marketing is absolutely free, and can generate substantial dollars online...
Try Clickbank or Commission Junction for products to promote... Hosting is available for about $8 - $10 a month... Try Host Gator or Blue Host... Tod

I too agree with Yuliya. I'm not very familiar with "out of the box" businesses but with something that's absolutely yours, (pro)blogging and affiliate marketing is probably the way to go. Of course it takes a tremendous amount of work, time, great writing skills, original ideas, passion, and TIME to succeed. In terms of cost, all you need is your domain names, and a Wordpress.org account to start.
