Default Probably not doable but willing to ask

I am a Lego Robotics Coach and have a small team. We program Lego motors and make Lego's into robots and then compete against other teams through First Lego League.

Anyways my question is: Does anyone know if you could start a home business with Lego's? Granted probably have to get permission from Lego to do this.

However, I am not sure what it is exactly that I want to do with the Lego's and a home based business.

Thanks in advance,
Linda

I'm not familiar with Legos, but i can send you relative information from others for your information. Please you can feel free to click at Tommy Loves Legos - Starts Home Business | The Home-Based Business Blog.

Of course you could start such a business and, no, you don't have to get permission from the makers of Legos. You just can't use the word Legos or trademarked names in your name, etc.

You could, for example, have an educational company that used "interconnecting building blocks" and other hands-on tools and techniques to teach science and critical thinking skills.

Without YOU knowing more of what you want to do, I can't be of much more help, but maybe that will get your thinking.

Alison

Maybe you could sell kits or teach classes that teach others how to build robots and hold compitions.

Where do these competitions take place? I'd be interested in watching. Anything on youtube?

You can't sell products that are made out of lego, I think. The company will eventually catch up with you and ask you not to modify and resell their products.
You can try making a video of your lego robots and posting it on youtube. Maybe it'll go viral and you might attract interest.

If it's not a conflict of interest, you can sell Legos through an online store. Buy them at discount & wholesale prices and sell with a profit. On the site, you could upload pictures of your teams creations and list dates of the competitions. You could also post how to and design tips.
