I totally agree with Patty Gale. You have to be yourself. I gained more followers when I started tweeting on personal things rather than promoting my business. Your followers will read and respond to your tweets and look into your profile to see what you do.

Smile email sending jobs

Recently got this and was wandering if anyone here had
heard of it. I don't see much of it in google searches, so
maybe it's relatively untapped? I hope so. Anyway, if anyone
has seen it or is in it, can you tell me how things are going
and if things are good, give me some tips? I really like the
concept, and I already got my investment back and I got it
Saturday. But, I want to make alot of money because my
birthday is next Friday and that is going to be my present to
me! LOL

As many have already said, you need to build followers and at the same time not appear to be spammy. The best way to use twitter is to engage. Retweet and participate, the more that people feel that you are a real person not just there to promote your business, the more success you will have.

You are not alone, when I joined twitter 2 years ago I did nothing with it I did not understand it then and really do not understand it now. I very rarely log or use the site. I don't quit get facebook either I do log in more often than twitter.

I have connected with school friends with facebook, it is great for them otherwise no business connects for me either.

I have a small following on twitter. I follow even less people. I tweet business stuff and some personal things. I don't blab on about every moment of my day or tweet the same thing over and over threw out the day. If i'm having a hugh tweeting day that means I have tweeted about 5 times. I am picky about who I follow. I do read their tweets and retweet or comment on ones that are worth it. I get 1-3 new followers each week. It has boosted my blog and shop traffic. Once I have my blog and things set up all the way I may be able to get some sales from it too.

I have been using twitter for months, and yes I feel like I am wasting my time, just like most places online, people are busy pushing thier program, they usually have no interest in what ever you may be offering. I can only say that I know that I did get 1 signup from twitter, only because the signup told me they found me on twitter.
So it can't be a complete waste, however it isn't an effective use of time. I use it only when I have time to spare, or it is tied to something else I post to, that will auto post to twtter.

I have a personal Twitter account but is thinking about the use of Twitter for business. Some people have gained a lot of traffic from the microblogging site, especially when used with Facebook. I think if used properly, it can bring a lot of traffic (not to mention new clients) to any website.

I totally stand with you there! I am a to-the-point kinda girl and don't want to feel as though I am wasting my time. Twitter is useful but only when you know it's functions and purpose and if it will meet your needs for your business in particular.

Well said.
