newbie here! I need visitors,How do I increase web traffic?

I'm starting with 2 affiliate programs and a MLM. I have 3 sites to promote.
But how do I get more visitors to my sites?

I'm using twitter a bit and am now in several forums, what else can I do?

Start a blog, if you haven't already, and use it as a promotional tool. Read the other thread here "How to promote my blog"

I get 90% of my traffic this way - thousands of targeted buyers per month.

There are good, and inexpensive courses out there. Money well spent.

Oh, will need your own sites - not MLM or affiliate replicated pages.

Again, not a problem once you know what you're doing.

Article marketing is one of the best strategy for trafffic and you will get traffic for life. Submit them to Ezine Articles.

I agree...good SEO has most of my traffic as well.

All the recommendations here are wonderful. I totally agree with the organic traffic thing. I haven't paid for any type of advertising for almost a year.

After optimizing your page for the search engines (which is easy once you understand how it works) you should work on your backlinks. Here's a great article on this that I just picked up at blog catalog:

I agree with article marketing. It does help you get some back links and traffic. Aside from Ezinearticles, Goarticles and other article directories I use the free traffic system. They get your article (450 words) submitted to about 30 blogs and you get to choose which category. They allow you a maximum of 120 backlinks per article. You can go for free or you can go for their paid service which gives you more backlinks of course (I think 720).

There is also AMA but this one is a paid service. It's great because you can submit as many articles as you want each day. Of course, you need to own the articles yourself or have rights to it. They also have the option to have a separate log-in if you outsource the posting of articles which is a cool feature.

But, if you are starting or on a low budget, you can go for the free submission first. Later when business is doing good, you can go for paid services or better yet outsource it so you can be more productive.
