Default Cleaning Services....

Are there any positive cleaning service people out there? I am looking to start one and need advice on a business proposal, pricing guideline, product supply. Any suggestions. This is all in my head at this point. I have called about insurance. I know I can do this but need any advice people can give me.
Thanks ahead of time.

Diana

If you scroll down the forums I think there is a board for cleaning service business. I used to help a lady do house cleaning but I don't remember what she charged. I'm guessing it's going to be different depending on where you live too.

i think there is a section for that too, and also each area is going to be priced differently so you would be better off looking around and finding out what your competitors charge.

Hi! I guess you can have a look at forums for student section summer or apart work there should be something that will fit you. It depends of course on what you exactly need.

Ummm... say, what???

Diana,

Try the Home Organizers and Housekeepers folder here on these boards. The ladies there should be able to point you in the right direction.

I owned a cleaning business for 12 years. What specific questions do you have?

Default Cleaning Services!

Hi Diana,
I run an offline Cleaning Business in the Uk and have done for the last 3 years. I've always found obtaining Cleaning staff quite a simple process my advice stay well clear of paying people cash in hand and make sure they hold a legal work permit ( or whatever your equivalent is.) I got set up with a website with opt in managed by Aweber which allows me to look after my Customers by sending out Broadcasted offers at different times of the year. If you are just setting out, it may be a good idea once you have set your rates, to offer some form of promotional work to get your company through their front door ie 50% off the first few cleans. It worked for us as we were in a competitive market place!
All the best,
Jayne.
