Hi Everyone,
I have come across some information recently, and I wanted to alert everyone here about it. There is a relatively new "opportunity" on the Internet scene, and it is a job offer to be a Rebate Processor. The two most prominent advertisers I've seen to date are Cindy Dalton's Rebate Processor Jobs out of Colton, CA; and Angel Stevens' Process at Home Program, but there are others as well. Cindy Dalton charges you a $39.00 (limited offer) fee to come in under her program, while Angel Stevens' charges a whopping $197.00 (and that's marked down from the regular fee of$500.00). How generous! There are a lot of red flags going up already about this category of job offer. Accusations of deceit, fraud, and inability to get help/replies from the company office are being leveled by many people who feel they've been victimized by the rebate processor companies and are left out in the cold. It's no wonder Cindy Dalton's company has been given an grade of "F" by the Better Business Bureau in California. Angel Stevens' site doesn'teven list their business location (city and state) or post a phone number. That is a warning in itself. I 've foundadditional information about Rebate Processor jobs that I felt might be helpful. Rebate Processor
The truth about rebate processor jobs...
Rebate Processor jobs are the latest home based business fad flooding the internet, and as with all fads there is a lot to watch out for. There are several companies that claim that they can set you up with a job processing rebates at an amazing wage of $15 per completed rebate and no shortage of work. So do these Rebate Processor Jobs really exist...? These programs sound like real work but unfortunately just like with the majority of data entry programs they are all smoke and mirrors. After you pay for their memberships of around $39 you do not get access to a list of companies in need of home workers. What these Rebate Processor Programs offer is nothing more than a clever twist on what the data entry programs have been doing for years. They simply tell you to start marketing digital products online and offer a rebate on them. So for instance, if an eBook is selling for $50 with an affiliate program that pays 50% commission they advise you to offer a rebate in the neighborhood of ten bucks. Thus, if you get a sale you make 25 - 10 with a profit of 15 dollars. However, in order to attract customers to your rebate proposal you will have to advertise on the major search engines like Google, Yahoo, and MSN. This advertising is done on a cost per click basis and if you follow the system you should be prepared to invest several hundred dollars into this. So basically, you're not paying for a Rebate Processor job but for a sales strategy that can be applied to affiliate marketing. It is possible to make money with this method but it requires money to invest as you will be paying close to one dollar every time somebody clicks on your advertisement. Within one day this can quickly add up to you spending $40 - $60 if you don't know what you're doing. I wouldn't call these rebate processor companies scams but their advertising is grossly misleading. Yes it is true that you'll be "Processing Rebates" but that's only after you have spent money, referred a sale, and avoided a refund. I'm glad to be of assistance to anyone who wants to check this out, but please let me encourage you to ALWAYS do your research before you invest anything. I've been sadder but wiser in the past, but I'd rathertake the wiser without being sadder if I have the choice. Best Wishes to Each of You! |
