Hi Linny: I had this business quite a few years ago but decided to quit. The books were adorable and lots of people loved them. I did them at craft fairs and took my computer and printer but it was difficult putting the books together under the pressure, especially when the printer jammed. If you're just going to do it from home, this can be a great business. You really need a good marketing plan though. Best of luck.

I think its a great idea. There is a huge market for this. Besides doing this at fairs etc. you can have a website and market it online!

You could try Create A Book. I'm not with them yet(need to get the funds) but talking with the owners son was great. He answered all of my questions about the business. Good luck in whatever you choose.

I have seen them at craft/vendor shows. The dealers loved the business, but didn't sell a lot at the shows.
I suggested they ADD to their product line other personalized items that could be made quickly and at a lower price point. One dealer took my advice and said his total sales doubled at the next event. Some people just don't want to spend $10 - $20 on one item if they have to buy several gifts at once. He now offers personalized key chains, mugs, cups, etc. and said half his sales are the lower priced products good luck to you martin |
