Do you have one? Between hubs and I we have a lot plus we have a few that we do for local clients
How long have you had one? Various amounts of time for all of them What is the one thing you look for in a website? Not sure what you mean but I can't stand audio/video that starts right up. I immediately close it out! Someone mentioned the best place to get a website and it varies. We use XSitePro web design software and I use Wordpress for my blog. I don't recommend buying your domain and hosting in the same place. GoDaddy is great for domains and I use HostGator for hosting.

Do you have one?
Yes How long have you had one? I have had Green and Chic for almost a year now. I have been blogging on a regular basis for about eight months prior, on a self-hosted Wordpress blog though. What is the one thing you look for in a website? I need to know what the website is about in my first few seconds on the site. It can be via text and/or photos. |

I could go on and on about building websites, but if you'd like to maybe just get your feet wet, I recently discovered DevHub. I haven't tried it myself but it seems like a pretty cool idea. I might set aside some time to build one today.

Do you have one?
Yes How long have you had one? A year What is the one thing you look for in a website? Good layout, readability, great content and good graphic design. I also like the ability to update content myself. Through my job history, I have found this to be a great feature, especially when in startup mode or a small business. In the past I have used a graphic designer to build the site according to my or my client's requests then managed it with Adobe Contribute. Now, I use SnapPages to build my site, and sites for clients. They have a free option or a pro account which many of the businesses I work with use. I find it easy to use for layout - and I can turn the site back over to my clients to update as they want. I have long been a believer that in today's times, the website is the new front door to your business and ensuring that it looks professional is essential to credibility. |
