I am currently using Constant Contact, and have in the past used Get Response, Your Mailing List Provider, and Aweber.
In your opinion, which are the better bang for your buck? (One of my lists is close to 2,000 and I would like a flat rate monthly fee for unlimited emails. Autoresponders are a plus, but not necessary, and I don't have to have templates, I make my own)... Any suggestions?

Hi,
Your site is one of the best messages I have had the chance to read online in a very long time. I think you would find most americans feel the same way, at least most thinking americans. I plan to put links to your site because something with such a "perfectly placed heart" deserves the support of everyone who is able. Free Newsletter Ideas & Templates |

I currently use Constant Contact for $15/month but wonder if I can find something cheaper that has some of the same features. I will keep an eye out on this thread.

I am paying CC $30/month.
I will plan to discontinue next month as I believe there are better options out there. Also, I need to be able to believe in the service I use so I can help out my own subscribers who have the same pertinent question. I also use GoDaddy's hosting and have tacked on the mailing service, but haven't been able to figure it out...and I'm pretty savvy at figuring out this newsletter stuff...but GoDaddy's doesn't seem to be too user-friendly. It kept giving me an error message with importing my list... Oh...and that's another thing...importing my list can NOT be a problem for future services. I can't be losing half my list because they didn't read my "please reconfirm your subscription" message. It has to be an easy import, no hassle kind of deal...

Thanks ... I will check out the php list. I'm hoping it's not a hassle to implement. Tell me more about Mail Chimp?

Mail Chimp only allows 500 free subscribers, so it wouldn't work for me. I did try it, though...and I have to say for what it's worth, it's a great start.
Just looked into PHP List...I think this will be my final answer. I'm switching back to HostGator and will install PHP List from the control panel. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

We have been using Constant Contact for over 2 years for our newsletter, and absolutely love it because it is so easy to use. It's easy to drop your own template into or use one of the MANY that are available within the program. It is easy to track click-throughs and open rates in CC. Customer service is very quick and responsive, and their online help is quite extensive and helpful. Whatever I have not been able to find there the customer service rep has been able to help with very quickly.
We use AWeber as our autoresponder, simply because CC doesn't have that capability except on a very limited basis. We have been extremely pleased with the service. Creating a signup for for a website is VERY easy. W did try it for the newsletter, but went back to CC almost immediately. Too complicated, and didn't have time to figure out all the nuances. We also tried Get Response, and was VERY displeased with it and would not recommend it.
