Question about Rodan and Fields

I asked this question in another Rodan and Fields thread, but I don't know if any R+F consultants saw it:

I was looking at the R+F business opportunity and noticed that anyone can go to the R+F website and order the products directly from the website without going through a consultant or entering a consultant's information when placing an order. This seems like it would take business away from consultants, so I was wondering if this affects current R+F consultants' businesses?

Hi Travelmom!

As you go further along into the checkout process on the website, you will have to locate a consultant near you or enter a name to search for one. All sales are through an independent consultant As a consultant, you would have your own personal business page and product page to send your customers to. And, as we grow, you will start to see orders from people that may have gone to the website without knowing a consultant and searched and found you

AshleyRoseNC - Thanks for the reply. I actually signed up as retail customer on the Rodan and Fields website and was able to place an order without choosing a consultant. It gives you the option to choose a consultant or you can order without choosing a consultant. I just clicked on the button that said to continue ordering without a consultant just had to enter my shipping information, payment info, etc.

I don't understand why R+F offers the option to order without choosing a consultant. I wonder how many R+F customers order this way...I would think quite a few do. Most other direct sales companies require you to order through a consultant website or to choose a consultant when ordering.

I understand what you are saying. Yes, you can place an order as a RETAIL customer. Retail orders do not receive the 10% preferred customer discount or free shipping. All PC orders go through a consultant. Corporate has shared with us that 98% of all orders go through a consultant though, so it really hasn't been an issue.
