Hello! I currently have a fundraising company and I'm looking to expand my product line. I read somewhere that Avon also has a way for reps to make extra money selling to schools and organizations. Has anyone here used Avon as a fundraiser? If so could you tell me how it works and if there is a requirement to purchase products and brochures (other then for your school fundraiser) to stay active? I'm interesting in connecting with someone who has successfully done this.
Thanks! Jenny |

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What kind of profit can our organization expect? A: Depending on the total sale, an organization can receive up to 40% of what it sells. This would leave you with 10% earnings. For example, if 20 participants each sell $15 in Avon products to 10 people, total sales would equal $3,000, of which the organization would earn $1,200 and you would earn $150. (See the Earnings Opportunity Chart to see the different earnings opportunities you can offer organizations and what your profit would be.) Q: Why can some fund-raising companies offer us 50%? A: A company can offer 50% when it is charging a premium for its products. For example, if you have ever bought frozen pizza or cheesecakes as a fund-raiser, you know that they were more expensive than if purchased at a store. Even candy bars sell for $1 each. With Avon, you are offering high-quality products that are priced competitively with similar products at retail. Most fund-raising companies offer up to 40%. Others offer much less! T-shirt sales, for example, often offer only 20%. Q: Can I conduct a fund-raiser using the full brochure? A: Representatives receive guaranteed 50% earnings and priority consideration on all registered fund-raisers conducted through the approved Fund-raising Flyers available on Youravon.com. Conducting full brochure fund-raisers is not recommended as we cannot guarantee 50% earnings or product availability. Q: How can we know that an Avon Fund-Raiser will be as successful as fund-raisers we have had in the past? A: All types of organizations, from religious institutions and schools to day care centers and sports leagues, have used Avon Fund-Raisers successfully to raise the money they need. They have found that the brand-name recognition, the Avon Guarantee and the fact that Avon has products for the entire family make for an extremely successful fund-raiser. If you have already held a successful Avon Fund-Raiser, say: “The (name of the organization) held an Avon Fund-Raiser last (date) and sold (total sales). I would be happy to give you the name and phone number ofthe person I worked with on that fund-raiser.” If this is your first Avon Fund-Raiser, say: My District Sales Manager can also provide you with the names of organizations in our area that have held successful Avon Fund-Raisers." Tip: Before you call, ask your District Sales Manager for the name of a successful Avon Fund-Raiser in the area so you have a testimonial you can share. Q: We’ve planned our fund-raiser for this year. How can you help me? A: Congratulations on being so organized! I hope you will let me help you plan your nextfund-raiser. |

I am in the process of organizing two Avon fundraisers (one for a church group, and one for a local Relay for Life group).
What I do is first present a fundraiser packet to the group that include everything they would need to make their decision (all sheets in my packet can be found on youravon.com). Once they decided to do an Avon fundraiser I have them fill out the contact worksheet that gives me an idea of what they want to raise and their past fundraiser and sign the agreement form. At that time I order the flyers (and brochures if they chose to do a brochure fundraiser - I make them aware though that their earnings are based on their sales with the brochure unlike the flyer is guaranteed earnings). Once the flyers come in I hand them to the organization and register their fundraiser. They then run their fundraiser for the two to four weeks they decide on and once the fundraiser is complete they tally up the orders and submit their one large order to me. I place the order, verify order, and deliver the order to the organization and collect my money. I also make an invoice that allows them to see their earnings. I have them tally up the orders so that I am not responsible for mistakes made on ordering incorrect number of items which can cost you your profits. They are also responsible for collecting and verifing the money. After you do a couple of fundraisers you can find a way that best works for you. |

I would enjoy helping an organization by conducting an Avon fundraiser but I haven't yet done so. I keep it in mind for possibly doing in the future. This is all great information for helping it to go smoothly and reps can refer to resources at youravon as well. Thanks for the info.
