With such a low startup cost, you should give it a try again. Seriously!

Some ppl like to shop at a store, but what Ive found is most prefer a face to face and the connection that goes with Avon. You get access to our fantastic Demo book.... so even if it doesnt work out... you more than likely wont lose either!

There is an Avon store 5 minutes from my house. I have been in there once when they first opened. I pass by there all the time and I seldom see any customers there. I think being a rep still rocks!

I totally agree Beth!

Some prefer "store" shopping, but most of my customers prefer me to come to them, have a cup of tea and chat

Wow and Avon store. I didn't know they had them. Though I don't think I would want to sit in a store all day!
Do the owners recruit too? I am sure I wouldnt want to do it, but how do you do it?

I looked into getting and opening an avon LABC when I first started (licensed avon beauty center). For a franchise it really isnt that badly priced.

What stopped me was exactly your point.

I quit a full time job to have FREEDOM with avon - to me ultimately, owning a store would tie me back down, and probably with longer hours and rent on the space! I decided it was not for me.

Yes, the one upside is you get walk in recruits who want to join!
