I seem to average around 250 these days, but I think I'm going to crank it up to 500 per campaign. They are such an affordable way to market and bring my Avon store directly to the fingertip of prospects.
The only thing I'm thinking about, now, is how I will do this once the snow hits. We had snow last weekend in NYC and it was crazy! Do you guys *toss* when it snows? What are your thoughts and suggestions when it comes to that? Oh yeah..and rainy days!

I think I may go crazy with brochures for the next 3 campaigns and hibernate for a few months during winter. I'll have other ways to market :-p

I ordered 600 brochures for C25! Probably need more than that to be honest. I'm hoping to have a bulk mailing license by the end of the year so I can start mailing to my customers. I use to use consultant depot but was spending $100 a campaign and not getting every customer every campaign.

I have a bulk mail permit.
I buy 1,000 books every campaign. (its ALOT of work preparing them for mailing) So be prepared! The good news is it gives me an "excuse" to watch TV ![]() Because of the shorter campaign lenghts for C25/ C26 I dont buy as many. Post office at this time of year hangs onto "standard" mail and more times then naught, My books arrive too late. I rely on other methods the closer we get to the holidays... even tossing Bonnie ![]() ![]()

Well, i havent had any luck with tossing. The first time I went tossing I got stopped by the cops, the 2nd time I went elsewhere and got nothing and the last time I found a note on 1 of the doors about not leaving anything on the porch. I have tossed about 1K books and have gotten 0 calls.
This is just not an effective way to advertise in my area.

I've had some success with tossing brochures, but it's too early to give too much feedback. I go by trial and error and see which areas work for me and what type of marketing fits me best. I'm still determined to build a solid customer base, so I'll be pretty persistent with tossing. However, it can be more effective when you target certain prospective customers.

You do you go about 'offices' Do you call and ask to come in? What do you say?
|
|
||||
|
I actually go in on my delviery days and talk to them face to face and ask if they have a rep, if not I ask if it is ok to leave brochures for the employees. I let them know how I run my business and assure them that I will not interupt theirs on my delivery days. If they allow me to leave brochures, I do so for six campaigns straight. If they do not order in that time frame. I drop them as a potential customer.

When the office "does" start purchasing, thats about the time I personally invite the receptionist to join
It works. You end up with increased unit sales and a very happy first generation rep. Bonnie |
