1) Okay, I just spent an hour with a lady who uses only organic products and proceeded to tell me all of the ingredients in rbon that are not good, such as DEA, and all of these words I cannot even pronounce. She's really big into this and I had no diplomatic responses for her other than "That's interesting, I'll check that out..." I did tell her that rbon uses the best of science and nature and all that verbiage, but can anyone suggest better responses for people like this?
2) Also, can CA and some of the r9 products be used together? Or better yet are there any products that shouldn't be used in conjunction with one another?
3) Do I have to participate in the Mercedes Benz program or can I just take the $800/1200 monthly bonus in the form of cash?
4) Can I take the Ca supplement and r9 supplements together?
Okay, that's all for now, I hope I didn't annoy everyone. This is my first month for 1st step District and I have $1300 to go!!smileys/smiley11.gif
Thanks so Much, I love, love, love this board!!

1) Sometimes people enjoy 'breaking your chops', so to speak. They're really not interested in anything you have to say but look for opportunities to tell you what you're doing wrong, etc, and how what they're doing is so superior. You'll never impress or win with these people! I have had personal experience with someone just like this, she took 3 hours of my time, wanting to know the nitty-gritty details of all the products, telling me how sodium lauryl sulfate and a list of other ingredients are so terrible, taking all sorts of samples from me, telling me she was interested in the biz,and then 2 months later telling me the products didn't work for her, goodbye. That was it, done. smileys/smiley7.gif My advice is to thanksomeone like thisfor their time and say good-bye! It's tempting to try to come up with answers for them, but really they're not worth the effort.
2) Yes, you can combine the CA and r9 products. I have tried it and I know I've read others on this board who do it. Lately what I've beendoing is use the CA wash, toner, and lotion and then use the r9 eye cream. I can't really think of products that shouldn't be used together.
3) Don't know the answer!
4) I have taken the CA and r9 supplements together, the only thing I've noticed is you're getting 2 doses of vitamin A. So, before I recommend doing this I would check on the implications of addedvitamin A supplementation.

I agree with Mary on number 1 & 2.
3) You have to have a white Mercedes to get the money. If you choose to buy, once you've paid off your car you still get the money.
4) My upline called @ about this over a year ago and they told her that their vitamins & supplements were designed to work together so that you could take these other supplements and not be getting too much of any one vitamin-ex. Vitamin A. (This was before they changed to the new hy****s). I would phone @ and also print off the sheets and take them to either a Dr. or pharmacist to make sure.
Good luck. If anyone knows that I am incorrect about the car please correct me.

In regards to #3; I am not sure if you can just take the cash, but my upline and I were talking about this the other day; and they mentioned that you can even buy a used Mercedes and if you have anything left over from the bonus then you keep it. Also said that once it is paid off you still continue receiving the check.

I have definitely found that true organic ingredient "snobs" (for lack of a better word smileys/smiley2.gif) are not satisfied with our products. I have several friends who are vegetarian, vegan, natural and organic everything. Our products are too full of chemicals for them. One of them even makes her own shampoo and essential oils and keeps them in the fridge because they spoil due to lack of preservatives, which, to her are "EVIL!"
The flip side, is many of those super "natural, organic" products just don't work as well. I hear complaints about make up fading, lotion not moisturizing, cleanser not cleaning, etc. So I do love that our products are safer than most, and also EFFECTIVE! People want what works in most cases, and you have to compromise a little to get the best of both worlds, which I think we have!
GOod luck!

I've heard from my upline that you have to have a title for a white
mercedes in your name before you will receive the $. It can be a 1970
mercedes, whatever. It just has to be white and in your name to get the
bonus. HTH.

The MErcedes has to be less than 5 years old, but other than that, it is your choice.

I tell my prospects that @rbon is not all natural and that we need some preservatives in order to protect us from bacteria such as mold, yeast, etc. But that the preservatives are of minute levels, just enough to make it pure, safe and beneficial.
Here is some verbiage and explanation from another DS company who also uses the parabens in their personal care products. It might give you some ammunition or better understanding for the next time you come up against an organic customer. It helped me understand it better.
Who Needs Preservatives?
Well, skin care products certainly do! Anything that contains water (ie. creams, gels, lotions) is a paradise for bacteria and molds, and the natural sugars in plant extracts are their favorite snack food. Many natural substances offer some antibacterial benefits. Certain essential oils, like Tea Tree, and some vitamins can help reduce some forms of bacteria when used in high concentrations and in ideal conditions. Unfortunately, your bathroom is not an ideal condition. Steam and heat help encourage bacterial growth and many natural preservatives can't be used in strong enough concentrations to fight contamination without running the risk of skin irritation. Others are useful only against certain strains of contaminants and for limited amounts of time.
Here's a good example - vitamin C will slow bacterial growth, but try leaving a glass of orange juice on the counter for a few weeks. Still want to drink it? And while Vitamin E and Rosemary Oleoresin Extract (ROE) work wonders at keeping oils from turning rancid, they don't protect against all forms of bacteria.
Minute amounts of some semi-synthetic preservatives can be used to boost the preservative action of natural ingredients, providing protection against a broad range of bacteria, microbes, yeast and molds. Bacteria can break down ingredients in a product, making it less stable and effective, as well as posing some serious health risks that you as the seller can be liable.
After a great deal of testing, research and development our formulator has developed a stable preservative system. We will only be using a very small amount of Methyl and Propyl Parabens (less than a quarter of one percent) and will also use Jasmine Extract and other natural preservative and antioxidants to help with preserving our bases. We understand that a truly natural broad spectrum preservative is not currently available, but we will keep our ears and eyes peeled for something that is effective as well as continue to research and develop our own system. By combining the healing and nutritive benefits of plant extracts and whole food ingredients with the advances of science, we are able to create products that are safe, effective and gentle. In a word, preservatives can guard against impurities and support the healthful actions of nature's finest botanicals and your customers deserve that kind of protection.
Our preservative system that includes several natural ingredients and small amounts of Methyl/Propylparben are used to prolong the shelf life 12 to 24 months or more. Otherwise, the average shelf life using only a natural preservative or antioxidant system of Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Ascorbic Acid, Citric Acid, Lecithin, Usnea barbata (Usnea Lichen) Extract, Azadirachta indica (Neem) Oil, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Salix nigra (Black Willow Bark) Extract, Essential Oils and others can range between 3 to 6+ months if stored properly (Dark, cool, dry place out of direct sunlight, preferably refrigerated and avoid contact with non sterile objects).

That is awesome info!
I did want to also mention I was approached on this topic bysomeone who is into organic but who is also a cancer survivor. She is strongly against any types of preservatives based on research she's done linking preservatives to cancer ... I was going to try to give her similar info as above, that we use minute amounts of preservatives .. but realized it wasn't really worth it. Sometimes things are best left alone, esp with such a sensitive topic, kwim?

Great info, thanks for sharing!
On the Mercedes, originally I heard it had to be white & less than 5 yrs old. I have since been told it can be any white Mercedes, that it does not have to be less than 5 yrs old. Hmmm...

There is pretty much no such thing as "all organic" skincare. <!--

Interesting on the mixed up car info ... I'll try to see if I can get a straight answer because I'd really love to know.
