Hello everyone,

I've been reading everyone's posts for months now and have recieved tons of knowledge from them. Thank you everyone for sharing!

I have been in Arbonne for 2 months now and I am having trouble selling the make-up. I have people interested in it, and they want me to preform make-overs for them, the only problem is I have no idea how to apply make-up on other people, I can barely do my ownsmileys/smiley36.gif!

do you guys have any tips about good color combos or websites or books that can help an amatuer look like a professional make-up artist? I appreciate any help you can give.

LMichelle

Do you know any make-up artists? My sponsor used to have parties, using a professional make-up artist.

She invited new customers and her wholesale consultants. The wholesale consultants could take notes about what colors the artist was using; then they could order them for themselves when they went home.

Knowing that they were getting a professional makeover was quite an incentive to attend.

I would actually recommend that you go the the nearest department store that has a Trish McEvoy cosmetics counter. They will give you a fantastic make-up application lesson which includes an understanding of warm vs. cool. Trish also has a book out that teaches make-up techniques. Also, you might ask them when a make-up artist is coming to the store to do an event, because there is a difference between the sales people at the counter and the company make-up artist who travels around to do events. However, even the regular sales people who are trained in Trish are usually pretty competent. Be careful though - - that is NOT the case at most other counters. I have had my make-up put on at many different counters and the training/expertise just doesn't seem to be as good as at Trish. Clarins was the only other one that did a good job.
