Hi all- I have been reading here for a few weeks and I plan on signing up on Aug 1st to become an active consultant. I really want to work this business, so my question to all of you veterans is what do you recommend is a must for my first order? The reason I ask is because my uplines are giving me different advice. One says the color is a must- even though I know it is not a huge must here where I live. I have previously done another MLM business and color was hard to sell. Then my sponsor says not to order all of the color focus on Re9 pups and get some color and more samples. Does anyone have any advice one way or the other? I just would love as much unbiased advice as possible so I can make a good informed decision.

IMHO, the color is not necessary so early in your business. It doesn't sell much, it is nice for people to look at, but at most they will only order a small amount of it whereas the RE9- most Everyone LOVES it! You should start using the color line since you will be a consultant, so I suggest getting one of the color sets for yourself, you could always have it "on hand" (in your purse) to show your clients how it's packaged, they won't however be able to 'sample' since it's your personal set. You can always invest in the color later, once your business has taken off and you have more $ to invest (if that is your concern now). Edited by: cassandra

The only thing people are buying from me is the aromatherapy. I cannot for the life of me get people to buy skin care!
So i'd have a sample of each Aromatherapy line for them to smell.

IMO, I would buy the makeup. I had a few wholesale buyers that bought the Re9 and a few other things, then started asking me about the makeup. So, I invested because until they try it or see it in person, they won't typically buy it. Two weeks after I purchased the make-up, we had make-up madness and I sold $800 worth of products...mostly makeup.
So, in my case- it has been a good investment. Plus, I also use it now, which I wasn't before so that helps my selling as well.

you are right myarbonne, but the point was for someone first starting out who may only have so much to invest, the RE9 would be better to start with than the makeup.
