Question...<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

I plan to sign up August 1st, and was wondering what’s the best way to do this:

· Encourage everyone to sign up under me for $29.00 and purchase their own products for personal use?
· Take orders for people and benefit from the commission (35%)?
· Encourage only those planning to be business builders to sign up for $29.00?

I haven’t received any info from my potential sponsor yet so all I know if from what I‘ve gathered doing research on the Internet. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Everyone works this differently. I try to sign everyone up for their own wholesale/consultant account- especially those ordering over $100. You never know who is going to fall in love and want to "do Arbonne"!smileys/smiley9.gif Me!

Does your potential sponsor know how serious you are?

Cassandra, I've PM'd you.

I think your approach sounds like a good idea, plus you should never pre-judge who might go from just a consumer to a business builder. I just want to make sure I can still be successful at this without having to do "parties." I already have a Party Plan business and I'm tired of giving up all my Saturday nights :-)

I agree with offering the wholesale opportunity to everyone. This business is about helping people, bottom line. smileys/smiley1.gif

Definitely offer the wholesale option! I got my first business builder
that way. When she saw the results she was easily able to view Arbonne
as a potentional business opportunity. Although I'd love the right now
money I am trying to build a foundation for my business so I'm passing
and trying to sign up wholesalers as well as the client.smileys/smiley2.gif

It's great that you are doing your research before you start. It's so important to know what you are getting into. I totally agree with the ladies who have posted about signing up everyone who is interested in shopping at a discount. I offer it to everyone. You have to think big picture. Yes you give up your 35% but you have the potential to gain much more. Like Cassandra said, you never know. (she's so smart! smileys/smiley1.gif) Be sure & let your potential sponsor know your thoughts on the subject & find out what their way of doing business is for the team.

Also, I hear you about the party system. It's a great way to build your business but it just isn't for everyone. There are so many teams in Arbonne who aren't doing them anymore. I started changing the way I did my business in March & stopped doing parties. Be sure to let your potential sponsor know that is what you prefer also so he/she can help you come up witha plan that is right for you. One thing you really need to get is the book The 45 Second Presentation That WIll Change Your Life by Don Faila. You can get it for the best price at www.soundconcepts.com (http://www.soundconcepts.com) . It will show you that parties aren't a necessity & how important getting wholesale buyers is for success. It's all in the mindset.

Good luck with everything! Let us know how it goes. smileys/smiley1.gif

Thanks Cassandra! I just ordered the book. I don't want to waste any time with this and I want to be ready to get off and running as soon as I sign up. I love the products but I am focused on building this as a business for myself. It may sound silly, but one of my major "why's" is no longerhaving to wake up at 6:00am every morning! I am NOT a morning person! The white Mercedes would be nice too (my car is pretty old!).

I can't wait to start sharing this business and have something I can be proud of and call my own. All the advice/help I havereceived on this board has been great! I'm so glad I found it!

That doesn't sound silly to me...I hate mornings! That is so great that you are focused enough to start learning now. It's that focus & determination that is going to take you far in the company. Just keep that attitude & don't give up...you'll do great!

I hear ya! My dh gets up at 4:15am!smileys/smiley18.gif I "get up" with him to send him off- he doesn't get as cranky in the evenings if he's not the only one getting up so early. smileys/smiley36.gifOf course, I usually fall back to sleep while watching the news. smileys/smiley9.gif Dh's almost 2 hour each way commute to DC is my BIG "why" I do Arbonne! I do have to admit though, Arbonne has sort of been put on the back burner for me through the summer, but what's so great about it is that it was my choice! smileys/smiley1.gifI will go full force once again at the end of August when 2 of my 3 kids are back in school! smileys/smiley4.gif

So what othr ways are there other than the parties

Karen-

It's sharing the product with people in a one on one setting. The book I mentioned earlier in this thread explains it much better than I can. But basically you let them try a demo set then you meet with them to talk to them about the products & the company. Let them know all the ways Arbonne will benefit them. They can choose to be a retail client, sign up to just get the discount or build a new stream on income by sharing the products with others.

This is really the fastest way to build a business. You are helping people be pro-active about their health & their wealth. Typically, people will start using several products from several lines & will love the results they have so naturally will want to tell others about it. Instead of building adistributor networkyou end up building a consumer network. And end up reaching a lot more people then if you tried to sell it to the whole world...it's the power of multiplication. :)

I am so sorry that your upline has not been more supportive. A supportive upline will help you all of the way. I like to offer to do my new consultants first 2 classes for them. I use all of my own products and help them to prospect, order smart etc. This helps so that they can then use commision to get products of their own. I would always encourage people to do at least a $100 sign up as this gives you ASAP points. You want to earn pts towards trips to Hawaii etc. One of the hardest things is to order smart...

Let me know if you want more help:)
