Hi everyone - I've been reading this board for awhile and decided to "come on in the house" instead of standing on the porch.I've really enjoyed all the helpful advice and discussion - I started my Arbonne business last November and have just loved it. I only wish I could do more!

Thank you, Michele. I've been doing the home parties and was doing fine with that until summer started. It seems like everyone is so busy with activities and vacation right now, so I've been focusing on samples/followup to stir up some sales. I do have a Results Approach kit to loan out, but have loaned it to my sister for a month for her to get some sales so she can get her own. I haven't actually gone through the Res/Appr presentation with anyone yet, so I'm looking forward to trying that new method to fill in where my sales are lacking. I'm one of the few who seems to really like doing the spa parties; my husband is gone a lot and I'm with my children ALL the time, so it's a nice break for me to get out with grown-up ladies and make some new friends. How about you - which method do you prefer and why?

I love doing the parties. For the same reasons! i love getting out and i think they are so much fun! I have been slow this summer too. In fact my party for this friday cancelled because noone could make it. Im hoping the fall will pick up!
Honestly i'd love to do the results approach but my warm market has been pretty much exposed to Arbonne already and arent interested in using the skin care (most anyways) so not sure how to approach strangers aobut it! im not comfy going out of my comfort zone so who knows what the future will hold for me. I have a bb but she is opening a salon and im sure she will make DM before me or atleast at the same time and then i wont be able to use her volume i dont think. do you know?

Thank you SoonerGirl74! Michelle, I did just promote out my sil as a DM at the same time I made it. Her group volume from her district does not count for my group volume anymore, but I do earn a % on it. So I have to find more bb's soon! We have to check the successplan, but I believe after you promote out someone, there is a 2-mo. rebuilding period allowed. Even after I read the successplan, I usually need to go over it with my upline to make sure I understand it and how it affects me, just don't do numbers that well. The way I understand it,it's bestto get 4 bb's going at a time. When they each attain their $2500 volume (at least) in a month, your group volume will be $10,000 and you will promote to Area Mgr. When they each attain Area Mgr., you will attain RVP, and when they each attain RVP, you will attain NVP. This is probably over-simplified, but I think that is the basic strategy behind the 4x4 Results Approach. And because sometimes life happens and people quit, we are encouraged to keep bringing new people in.
