If anyone can give any recommendations on the following I would be most grateful......

I need to get some fundraising to a neighbour asap and I am unsure on what $$$$ figures to provide them......please bear in mind that I am a Associate Distributor (not COTM), therefore any profit I make would have to reflect this.........

) How much is my cost for the candles with tax included (would it be $11.00 per jar candle with tax???)

2) What price can I quote them for how much would THEIR cost be (ie: around $13.00 ???)

3) What price can I recommend them to sell for the fundraising (ie: $20.00 ???)

4) How much can I suggest that the organization will receive (ie: between $4 - $7 ??)

Would these figures I have quoted above be around the target area I should be aiming for ???

Your help is very much appreciated on this !!! smileys/smiley2.gif

I have waited to see if any one with a little more experience has answered you but since no one has I will give it a shot....

Alot of people have recommended fundraising these candles at $20...nice even number...kids don't have to worry about making change, etc.

I am not sure what your cost is plus tax & s/h...you would have to find that out...

You sound like you are on the right track..I would figure out exactly what your cost will be..then decide how much you can offer them per jar so that you are still making a profit...

For instance if it cost you $11 per jar(just an example) and you were going to do $20 for fundraising them them...then you could say okaythe organ.profit will be $5 per jar...then your profit would be $4...I think this is how it works...but as I said I have never done a fund. before, so I am not sure....

Then main thing is you need to find out how much it is going to cost you so that you know what to charge so that you still get something out of it....

I hope I explained that right..I will feel stupid if not...Oh well hope this helps...Good luck

Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought if you were an Associate Distributor, your cost for a jar candle was around $13.50 not $9.50.

So, you need to make sure you charge enough to cover tax and shipping also And still make a profit.

Someone correct me please if I'm wrong.

The price for a jar candle as an Associate is approximately $15.00 with tax and shipping added. So if you have the organization charge $20 per candle, and then give them $5 per candle (which is the norm, I believe) -- you will be left with nothing.smileys/smiley5.gif

If you have someone committed to doing a fundraiser for you, this might be an excellent time to step up to a Candle of the Month member. Remember, most of your $39.95 price can be used as a tax write off.

I really agree with Amanda, like I said before the $11.00 was just an example...I think it would be way more worth it to switch to COTM you may just be doing it for nothing otherwise...Just depends on how much they expect to get for each jar candle....
