View Full Version : Pup/RE9 questions

A pup was sent home with my husband to see if I was interested in the business opportunity. My initial response (without even looking at the kit I was told was on our kitchen table) was "No thanks, I am not interested in being an Avon lady." The next day I was on the phone with a friend and was joking about a "pms cream" my husband mentioned. My friend said that if it was Arbonne, she would encourage me to try it. I hadn't even looked at the products yet and was surprised when I did that it was what my friend had recommended.
I have not to datetried any skin care products and therefore am not familiar with their usage. My mother on the other hand is a skincare nut (she spent $800 on her current products)so I gave the pup to her to try. She was very disappointed that she could not be impressed with it. She said the products felt like they were building up on her face and it felt sticky. She read the material again and tried it several times on different days with the same results.
My questions are:
Has anyone else had this experience or has someone you gave the pup to?
How do you respond to someone after this?
With so many skin types out there, how do you know that this pup is the correct thing to give someone?
I am on the fence about selling Arbonne, moreso now than ever. I appreciate any input.Edited by: Kiana's Mom

Make sure she is not using too much. In Arbonne, a little goes a long long way. The eye cream, I use only about a third of a pump, the day cream maybe- at most- a half of a pump. The size of a small pea will be sufficient.

If she was feeling sticky, it could have been the RE9 Lift. You have to be very careful with the Lift, not to use too much. The Moisture for Day is also quite heavy. I have oily skin and there is no way I can use the RE9 Moisture products. They really are just too heavy and super-hydrating for my skin.
In fact, most of my clients are oily and acne prone. They have not had good results from the RE9 products. A couple of them even had bad breakouts after using RE9. I no longer recommend it for oily or acne-prone skin. One of my clients isn't even oily-skinned, but she lives in Florida, and she said the RE9 was too much for her skin ... could have been due to the humidity down there. In any case, these clients use either the Basics, the Bio-Matte products or the Clear Advantage (or a combination of the three).
What is your mom's skin type? It is possible the RE9 products are not for her. From experience - it sometimes takes a while to find the perfect skin care regimen! smileys/smiley1.gifSometimes it is trial and error. Don't be afraid to use the Arbonne guarantee! That's what it's in place for. Edited by: chrlstoncharmed
