I wanted to find out if anyone has had a problem shipping soy candles this summer and if you did, what solution did you have to resolve it?
Thanks,
Jameel

The ones shipped to me are sent in a cardboard box with peanuts and
wrapped in bubble wrap. UPS is the handler. I don't seem to have any
problems with them once they arrive.

Hi Jameel-
I have never had any problems shippingour candles.
We put them in a cardboard box with peanuts or bubble wrapand we haven't had a problem yet.
Good Luck I am sure they will be fine!

Are you referring to melting? I have had a few of my candle shipments come in with melting soy wax. Not sure if it is because I am on the west coast and it takes longer to ship, therefore they are in the heat longer (via UPS), or if it is the UPS guy always putting my packages on my porch IN THE SUN! lol Has anyone else had melted/melting candles come in your shipment?

I haven`t as of yet..... I HAVE heard of other private companies offering a cold pack for sale for shipping. :)

That could be, my shipments come right into my air conditioned office.
I can easily imagine candles melting a bit if left in a sunny area. I
am in Florida.... it's been HOT lately!

It is a combination of a few things....very high heat and humidity and sitting out in the sun.
When I was with Affordable Luxuries, I noticed that whenever I got a package on Monday ...it was ALWAYS melted. That is because on Saturday and Sunday it sits in a hot UPS warehouse and basically just bakes. So I never placed an order on a Tuesday or Wednesday because it was always sitting in the warehouse over the weekend.
For those people who live on the west coast and products coming from the east coast you may want to see if your products can only be sent out on a Monday if you are on 5 day turn around...or by Tuesday if you are on a 4 day turn around. Or ask to pay the difference for 2-3 day shipping...maybe worth the hassle.
Soy is a very soft wax and unfortunately this will happen with high temps.
Hope this helps.

Thank you for everyone's feedback! I think I'm going to try these ice packs and see how that works.
Thanks,
Jameel
