Hi all,
For those who have car decals, do you have more of a response to a web site address or a phone number? Does it matter what type of company or how recognizable the company is?
TIA!
Laura

I don't have a decal yet but as someone mentioned in another thread, I think Phone #'s work if the company/product is recognizable as most won't just call a # blind.
Web addresses work real well but it must be short/sweet and memorable.

I use my web address and its working fine. Then, if you can, have your phone number on your website.

I think it also depends on the type of business. For me I do children's parties so people don't hesitate to call before checking out my website.

I used my website, slogan, and short description for my car magnets:
www.SimplyMarlo.com (http://www.SimplyMarlo.com)
"We Naturally Make Scents"
Soy Candles
Bath and Body
If you put too much on the magnet, it is hard to read from far away. I chose to use a generic photo (flower) rather than the company logo, as I wanted people to remember my short site name instead. My contact information is available on my website if needed.Edited by: nuwave06

I created a memorable website address and put that on my van's back window...people hesitate to call but like that they can research on the internet..I would use a www. without a doubt!

I think it depends on theproduct line and how well known the company is. For a company like Pampered Chef or Creative Memoriesand if you're doing business locally, I'd go with aphone number. People don't have to wait to call, they can call from their cell phone.
For a lesser known company, a www is good.
The website is also helpful if you travel a lot and want to attract customers from a distance.

I have tried both and would say that a phone number works best...why...well most everyone has a phone on them these days right?
It takes less then a minute to program your phone with a number...or take a picture of your decal with a picture phone(which happened to me!) or to just pick up your phone and dial right then!
Not everyone carries a pen and paper and unless your website is short and catchy...they may forget it!
I would say experiment and try both ways. I do switch my decals regularly.smileys/smiley2.gifThats just me!

I agree....if you can do both I would. Some people, not many, but some don't have access or don't like to use computers. So a website with your phone number on the site may not do any good. I personally would rather go to a website first and check it out and then call the person! smileys/smiley2.gif

Where have all of you gotten your decals?
I would like to get one for my back window, but I would need it to be able to mount from the inside as it is a hatchback and I think the wiper back there would hit it and eventually wear it off. I wonder how well a person could even see one on my back window (unless they were higher up then me.....truck, van etc) because it is slanted.smileys/smiley5.gif Anybody else have a back window like this?
