Barefoot Books has a dynamic list of all the Stallholders and where they are so we can see who else is in our area and contact them if we want. It's on our Stallholder website, so not accessible to the public. I was wondering if other companies have something simlar? I really like knowing who else is around and if they're very active, or more of a hobbyist. It's also nice to refer people I meet online who want to have a party.smileys/smiley20.gif

BabyCrazy doesn't, but there are still only two active reps in my state, I think, and I know the other one. =}

Anyone else have this, and if you do, do you find it useful?

We have a map where we can click and see how many active crew members are in each state it doesn't tell us who each crew member is though. We do have a message board for finding other crew members in our area and I have several that I network with and do larger events with. Many crew members from my company also share ads as well and split the cost.

Yes. We can do a search for consultants by Manager/zip code--this is public.

I also know a way to find out how many consultants, but even if they are not doing anything, they stay in the system for up to 23 months after they stop doing something, so it doesn't mean much.

I think it's useful to know that there are only 2 reps in your area, but not so useful to know that there are 500, since knowing that there are only a few can tell you a lot of things, but knowing that there are potentially hundreds doesn't tell you much.

When I tried to sign up for an upcoming fair, they said that they needed to check because there is already a children's book vendor attending. I know that there is only one highly active rep in my area, and a few somewhat actives, and some hobbyists, so I could say with some certainty that it's probably an Usborne rep and our books are extremely different.

True. But I can usually tell who is active by their name, status, and website. And for the most part you want to look at how many managers are in your area, that tells a lot. smileys/smiley36.gif
