Anyone ever been offended by being offered samples? I had a strange reaction yesterday when I offered a RE9 sample pack to a lady from a local paper. She is early 40s. She looked at it and said "anti-aging? I don't think I need that yet" I came back with, "If you start when your young and beautiful your skin will stay beautiful". She laughed
and said it was too late on the young part but she smiled and accepted the sample. I hope I left her with a good feeling about the product but felt like I was backpeddling from ensinuating that she was old and wrinkled. I never expected that because I would use it and I don't
consider myself old or wrinkled.
Whatshould I sayas I offer it to not come across like that?

Maybe we should change the term "anti-aging" to something like "youth-preserving"! smileys/smiley36.gifThats a good question, though! I never thought someone might take it the wrong way!

I gave my mother-in-law the after sun lotion and said that it was from Arbonne's anti-aging line, and she made a big deal to tell everyone in the family that I bought her anti-aging lotion! I think that she was offended. I thought I'd given her a good gift, since she tans at salons and tans in the sun, so it would repair some of the damage, but obviously, she just thought I thought she was old.
When I first was told about the Re9, I thought that it was for older people and didn't realize until later that it prevents and restores!
I think you handled it well and don't think that that lady was offended.

I say "skin care" as opposed to a descriptive word like "anti-aging". I ask the person if they would like to try a sample of our brand new skin care line.
Best of luck!

I didn't say it, she read it off the sample package! I didn't even know it was on there!
