I was wondering what are good times of days/days of the week to hold parties to get the best turnout. I have a customer who wants to hold one on a Saturday around 4 pm. I am not sure this is a great time because it breaks up the day. I have had good luck weekday evenings and during lunchtime at playgroups.

I had a party last week at that same time on a Saturday and it was a complete bomb for the above stated reasons.
This was a younger girl and she told her friends they could just go out afterwards...consequently people showed up for the "going out" part...not the presentation part!smileys/smiley18.gif
I will definately stay away from that time slot in the future!

I have had most people want to schedule Sunday afternoon or evening and have had pretty good luck. Many of the guests have made comments however that they had never been to "one of these parties" on a weekend, that all the parties they had ever been to were on a weeknight. I agree that especially for the summer, weekends are probably not the best time- many people are away or have plans.
