How much do you spend each month on full size demo products since they don't have samples for products?
Then when they discontinue products what is your best way of selling them fast to get them out of your inventory?

For discontinued products, I run a sale for my established clients who are already in love with the products.I sold 10 Orange Cream Body Souffles in 1 day! I did not have that many on my shelves. In fact, I had to order it because I ran out after the 2nd one sold.
I absolutely love full size demo products! It takes the guess work out for our clients. They get to see how much product they are getting. I use the minis as add oneswhen they purchasea fullsizeone to take with them on vacation.
Before I became a Unit VIP, I would stock up whenever BeautiControloffers a 50% discount code. I just replaced my skin care line, so that would be $33 or so plus tax.
Remember, our product goes a long way and you do not have to replace everything you demo each month unless you are in front of a lot of people!

I am looking at it from a new consultants view of having to buy all the full size products would be very expensive for them. It seems like your ordersgo into the business supplies and then you have no products left over to sell because you are opening up full size demos.
I wish they made samples for things so out of town customers could try everything out instead of having to go and buy containers and then labeling them that is very time consuming.
I'm talking about people who are consistent in holding 1-2 spas every week how much are you spending for supplies?
I guess that is how the company makes more sales too for their bottom line of gross sales calculated into eveyones order of full size productsto demo.

I guess I am failing to understand what you are asking. You demo the full size products that you receive in your beauticase. They are the most popular sellers and that is what I demo until they are gone. I do purchase new products as testers like the Brown Sugar Lotion. Right now, I am demonstrating the new Luxuries of the Sea products that we received for attending Celebration.
I do hold 2 - 3 spas a week with few exceptions. This week I had a lot of meetings and follow up, so I do not have an actual party scheduled.
The postcards with Show of Hands and Extreme Repair are available for purchase for a good price. I send those out to interested ones. Show of Hands is our most popular seller! I have also mailed out one or 2of the minis to people interested.
BeautiControl only recently started making minis and these postcards available on a regular basis. The way I understand it, samples are very expensive to manufacture. The philosophy is people will take the samples and not order from the consultant. That is a discussion I had with my Director a year or so ago.
Demo products are a tax deduction, so I never worry about how much I am going thru. I "pad" my order with one extra of everything so I have enough to sell and demo. Whether you are ordering full size products or samples, it is the price of doing business.

Lipstick,
I look at it this way...the Spa IS your sample! That's what someone (can't remember who it was right now) told us a while back. If you want to make up your samples and label them (which I do myself sometimes) that is great, especially for those that are out of town and can't get to a Spa. Also, if you're doing a booth, you are definitely going to be making up more samples, but you will of course be reaping the benefits when those ladies either book with you, purchase products, and/or join your team--because they're going to do one or the other or all three, right?!? smileys/smiley2.gif LOL! I have also started just carrying a Spa Express mini kit with me to Spa people "on-the-spot" should the opportunity arise. I Spa'd a lady on the plane ride home from Celebration! She was very interestd in joining, but she lives in Canada, so I will refer her to Cindy Koleba. She is a former consultant of another company so she really understands the business and loved the Empowering Women magazine!
But, I digress! I'm sorry I don't have any definite numbers for you, but remember that there is also a 100% money back guarantee with our poroducts as well, so if they buy and try it and are dissatisfied for any reason, they can certainly return it!

I carry the spa express mini in my purse too! I loved that they came out with it permanently. Isn't it great to spa people on the spot?!! LOL
The Show of Hands and Extreme Repair postcards are also an excellent hand out. I plan on having a lot of these available for my 2 booths coming up in October.
Happy SPA-ing Everyone!
Who has already recruited someone for quick start? Can't wait to hear all the good news!

I like using the full size products because spa goers get to see exactly what they would be ordering. With your discount, it is really not much of an expense unless you buy lots of stuff or do like I do sometimes and wait until you're almost out of everything and reorder everything. I try to order 1 or two things with each order to have around for when I run out. Just today, I had exactly enough eye pads for the people who came--gotta order more. I plan to spa my way to Cabo! BTW, recruited 2 today with 1 more for follow up. So...do you think I need to pull out my Spanish-English dictionary?smileys/smiley36.gif
