Do any of you do party themes? I would like to offer options to my hostesses for what I will focus on for their class. Here are the few I have heard:

Mocha Madness, Mocha & MakeUp

Coffee & Color

ABC's of@rbonne

What other themes are floating around out there? Anything that you have used that you would recommend? If you are creative, feel free to make up some and post them!

Thanks in advance.smileys/smiley32.gif

Thanks everyone for your ideas! I already sent a list of four options to my hostesses for August.

The first one to respond said she wants to go with the "Aroma Therapy" . .. so I guess I will highlight the aromatherapy products, and possibly warm hand towels then spritz the Unwind spray on them,so the guestscan put the towel around their neck to relax. I found that idea by doing a search, but I am open to any other ideas. I do not want to do foot spas though.... too much work!! I am all about keepin' it simple . . . I want to sign business builders and people are not enticed when they see us working hard! ;)

A foot spa is working hard? All you're doing is filling up littlebins with water and bath salts. They fill up the room with the awesome scent which puts people in a wonderful mood and entices them to spend $$.

If you are still not interested in doing the foot soaks (or maybe no one takes you up on the offer), I suggest filling up a pretty bowl with warm water and the un-wind salts and some of the un-wind bath & shower gel, maybe float pretty flowers ontop ... so people can smell it and envision themselves soaking in a tub with the heavenly scent!

Maybe also try this with the Herbal vapor soak. ???

Are you going to have everyone at the sink to get a hand sea salt scrub followed by some hand cream? That is also an awesome way to sell using the aromatherapy line.

All I know is that when I went to my first class a couple years ago and saw the consultant filling up seven + bins with water, continuing to check the temperature, and carefully carrying them to each guest, I was thinking what a pain! It sure didn't make me want to do the biz. But hey, to each his own . . .

Great idea about the pretty bowl with salts .. .I will do that for sure!

And yes, I will do the salt scrub and lotion.

Thanks for your input! smileys/smiley4.gif

I did a foot spa party and had 7 ladies attend. I gave each a tub with warm water, a towel, and 1/3 a pumice stone (cut them with a bread knife - they are cheap!). I came around and put in unwind bath salts in the water and told them to let their feet soak for 10 minutes. Meanwhile I put out 2 containers of awaken sss and a couple of herbal foot creams. We were outside and nobody asked for more warm water and everybody bought a sss on the spot! Everyone was impressed with their feet when they left, and they did all the work!

The awaken sss is a must, whether you use it on hands or feet.

Also, I am so impressed with the herbal m.m. that I will have that available to try next time too. It relieves pain in less than 5 minutes, for the entire night! (just make sure you wash your hands well after)

We don't do spa parties very often. We find the sales are much lower
because people usually only buy the aromatherapy and not the skin care.
Someone in my downline wanted to do one last week. When I asked her
how it went she said, "It was a lot of work for very low volume." That's par
for the course, in our experience.

I think it depends on how you do a 'spa party' as far as total sales volume on the other products.

My upline does spa parties, but we also have all of the makeup ... we do the SSS, a foot soak for anyone interested, the Results presentation, demo the r9lines andsunscreens, and have the makeup + disposable applicators available. We don't just focus on aromatherapy; people buy it,but we sell a variety of products. Low sales volume is not par for the course in our experience.

That's interesting, Mary! We did spa parties in a similar way. We always had
them do the RE9 masque, and then use the rest of the RE9 set when they
were finished with the masque. Still, we always had people take the
cheapest way out!! It was really frustrating.

I must add, however, that when we do makeup parties, we have them
remove their makeup and use the RE9 set. Then, a makeup artist friend of
mine does everyone's makeup. What happens? They buy the RE9 set and
take makeup in their 100 for 20's.

Allison--Love the idea of the makeup artist doing everyone's makeup. I wish I knew one personally! I wouldn't mind a few parties where everyone's buying the r9 set and makeup. smileys/smiley4.gif

I love the idea of the unwind salts in a pretty bowl with floating flowers... I actually use the unwind salts in a potpourri crock for fragrance in my home, works wonders on 'unwinding' the kids near bedtime.smileys/smiley36.gif

Love the ideas!

Allison, do you have a lot of the foundation shades for people to apply with the makeup or do you have them apply everything but foundation? So far I have only gotten the samplepallette and one of each formulation, but not all the shades. Not sure if I need to invest in all the shades??

I met a massage therapist who does massages for $35/30min recently and was considering offering my "top hostess" of the month a free massage as an incentive . . .thought that might inspire the hostesses to get more people there, outside orders, etc. Anyone ever tried anything like that?

For make up artists, I have heard that folks have approached those in stores and hired them to do their parties. It is said that many of them end up doing Arb0nne after working with the makeup & falling in love with it & the opportunity.

On the subject of massages, I was consideringentering all hostesses for August into a drawing for a massage.
