Hi There!

I feel stupid, but I have a question.http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley9.gif I see in alot of the signatures you can click right on their website and go right to it. I went to my settings and tried to do that, but I can't figure it out. Can any one please tell me how to do that!http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gifI would really appreciate it!

Have a Nice Day!

Thank you,
Sandy

Hi Sandy,

Let's see if I can helpsmileys/smiley1.gif

Click on Settings again (at the top of the forum page), then click on edit profile, then scroll down to your signature. To the left of that you'll see something called Forum Codes (click on it to see the different things you can do). Once you have it all set, click update profile. It takes some getting used to but the forum codes are a big help.

Be sure to take out all the spaces between all of the [ and ]Edited by: angienewton

Sandy,

What Angie said is exactly right. But if you're still having trouble getting it to work, here's a way to simplify it. Just put the following code immediately before the "http" at the beginning of your website address (copy exactly, minus spaces):
[ URL ]
Again, do NOT replace the letters "URL" with your actual url... just use that code as is (minus spaces) at the beginning of your url. And then put this code at the end of your website address (again, copy exactly, minus spaces):
[ / URL ]

That should work. smileys/smiley1.gif

Christy

Suzanne,

Try this:

http://www.longaberger.com/suzannerehner (http://www.longaberger.com/suzannerehner)

That should do it (right click & copy/paste it into the area on the profile).

HTH!smileys/smiley17.gif

smileys/smiley5.gifOh nuts! I put it in as needed, & it took out the brackets & code.

Well, copy/paste the above, BUT in front of the http part, type in

<a href=" with NO spaces!</P target="_blank">

Then, after the /suzannerehner part, type in

"> with NO spaces!

Then, after the /suzannerehner part, type in

</a> again with NO spaces!

HTH THIS time........whoa is me........smileys/smiley36.gif

gkoinski
06-07-2006, 12:56 PM
OK, it won't allow us to do type in like that................smileys/smiley9.gif

If you want, email me (gkoinski@aol.com) &amp; I'll try to email you back what it's supposed to be. smileys/smiley36.gifEdited by: thatspagirl

lol... it's so hard to explain this when the board keeps putting links where we DON'T want them! Okay, let's see if we can get this to work. Type it exactly as it shows here, EXCEPT remove the spaces:
[ URL ]http : // www. longaberger. com/ suzannerehner [ /URL ]

If you do it that way, it will show up in your sig line as:
http://www.longaberger.com/suzannerehner (http://www.longaberger.com/suzannerehner)

On the other hand, if you want something OTHER than your domain name to show, you can do it this way (again, type exactly as shown except remove spaces and use whatever words you want in place of "Suzanne's Longaberger web site"):
[ URL =http : // www. longaberger. com/ suzannerehner] Suzanne's Longaberger web site[ /URL ]
If you use that second method, this is what will show:
Suzanne's Longaberger web site (http://www.longaberger.com/suzannerehner)
Hope that helps!

Blessings,

Christy

If you try again and can't seem to get it to work, let me know. I'll be home in the morning if you want to call me to do it over the phone (maybe it will be easier to explain that way). If you can be online at the same time as we're on the phone, even better. We'll get you fixed up in no time!

YEA! You did it! Way to gosmileys/smiley32.gif

It's so much easier when links in sigs are clickable. Most people won't take the time to copy and paste so it's best to make it easy for people to check out what you have to offer.
