When you are on vacation do you pass out catalogs? Do you check emails or messages?

I plan on bringing some catalogs but I really don't know how this would benefit since we will be in VA andlive in NY. Should I attach a coupon?

For me, when I'm on vacation, I am on vacation and that is it! I don't think about work and I try not to talk about it! Of course, I have my business cards with me and an extra catalog or two just in case, but as a general rule - I concentrate on relaxing and having fun!

When I was on vacation last year, there were a few spots where I could leave my biz cards and tear tags. I had some catalogs, but I didn't pass them out.

I think if you find the right place, it's a great idea, but when we were on vacation,we were so busy, I really didn't have the opportunity to do much more.

I did check my emails, usually when we were taking our turns in the shower. I only spent a few minutes, and was nice not to come home to a thousand emails.

Ann,

I make sure I have my business cards on hand and usually on vacation I will take my laptop and check emails just in case a customer needs something but we are going to Jamaica in Dec. and it will be a true vacation, no laptop and no cell phone (OMG!). But I will have my business cards!

Hey Ann Marie,
I take catalogs and check emails, etc. if I can. I don't have a lap top, but if we're visiting family or something or the hotel has one I use it. I'm addicted, I admit it. smileys/smiley2.gif My business is never on vacation...I don't obsess about it, but I'm always looking for leads. And when we take our FREE vacation this summer I fully intend to let people know I'm not paying a penny for it.smileys/smiley36.gif Just my 2 cents on this one.

I take fliers and recruiting materials and some catalogs when out of town. People may order off of your website from doing this or sign up as a recruit. I don't pass them out as much when we get to our destination as on the way there. On driving trips when we stop at a rest are I leave info in the bathroom by the sinks. When we stay at hotels I leave info in the lobby near the reading materials and some in my room for the maids to have when I leave. I also always leave info for the waitress at whatever restaurants we eat at. You never know what might come of it.

I do take a laptop with me on vacation but use it very limited - like an hour every 2-3 days - family agreement - I'm the only one with a home biz - and I also check on our store too -

Anyway - I do bring materials with me - I bring mini enrollment kits and usually enroll 2 new consultants every vacation - on average and get about 2-3 new customers per vacation - online - so it's worth the effort for me - and I can pack everything I need in my laptop bag so it doesn't take a lot of room. Hubby, I and kids go on 2 motorcycles so we have one small cargo trailer for the 4 of us - so not a lot of room to spare - smileys/smiley36.gif

I find it a GREAT way to build my national team - branch out a lot !!

A part of me would love to just go on vacation and maybe someday I will but I do LOVE to talk about my biz -so it comes out of my mouth anyway so I might as well have the paperwork to back it - right ????
