I just received the email from the company about batch #5155 of the RE toner inside the sample packets. I have these and am wondering if they want us to return the entire sample set or just take off and return the toners? It's to bad because I mailed off half of them across the country for a catalog party. I will let her know and hope she hasn't handed them out yet. I suppose she could just remove the toners from the samples and give the rest out?
So glad to have the heads up!

Here's all of the information:
Dear Arbonne Vice Presidents,
It has come to our attention that a few customers have reported a reaction
to a particular batch of NutriMinCR RE9 REstoring Mist, Balancing Toner
product. The product in question is the toner included in sample packs and
in the NutriMinCR RE9 Travel Set.
As you know, we take product safety and efficacy very seriously. Our
products are rigorously tested, above and beyond any requirements. We pride
ourselves on manufacturing and distributing pure, safe, beneficial formulas.
Rest assured that we have activated a thorough investigation into this
issue, and as a precautionary measure we are pulling these batches of sample
packs and travel-size toner from inventory. We are also sending a letter to
all Consultants who were shipped RE9 toner samples or the 1 oz. bottles so
they can return the product to us for an exchange or credit. A copy of this
letter is attached to this e-mail for your reference, should someone on your
team have a question or concern.
Know that we are taking every possible and prudent measure to resolve the
situation and we appreciate your understanding and support on this important
matter.
All the best, Love ya,
Bob Rita

Dear Arbonne Consultant,
We have important information to share with you regarding a recent product purchase.
Over the last week, we received a few reports of a reaction to our NutriMinC® RE9 Restoring Mist, Balancing Toner included in one batch of sample packs and only in some lots of the NutriMinC® RE9 Travel Set bottles. We immediately began rigorous testing of the product in response to these reports and we just received the initial results from these tests and wanted to share them with you.
First and foremost, the testing on the batches of toner in question revealed no microbial contamination of the product. We also tested the pH levels and the results confirmed that it is neutral. We just learned, however, that small amounts of two soap ingredients commonly used in shampoo products (which are intended to be rinsed off), have been found in these batches of toner. These ingredients may cause some temporary redness and swelling if left on the skin for a period of time, especially for people with sensitive skin.
We sincerely apologize for any concerns this may have caused. Rest assured the potential effects of these soap ingredients is short-term and will not result in any permanent damage to the skin. As you know, product safety is one of Arbonne’s highest priorities and we take the safety and efficacy of our formulas very seriously. Our manufacturer has already implemented precautionary measures to ensure this does not happen again.
Please immediately discontinue use and distribution of the NutriMinC® RE9 Restoring Mist, Balancing Toner included in the sample packs (Batch #5155) and in the NutriMinC® RE9 Travel Set (Lot #s 6068Y, 6065X, 6066X, 6067X, 6069X, 6062Y, 6065Y, 6066Y and 6068X), purchased between April 8th and May 15th and return them to us. Please click on the following link: http://www.arbonne.com/product52206.html (http://www.arbonne.com/product52206.html) to see an example of where the Lot and Batch numbers are located. All other batch and lot numbers for the toner are of the highest Arbonne quality and are completely safe to use. We have new product in production now and, upon receipt of your return, we will immediately process an exchange or a credit for these items and, of course, cover your shipping and handling expenses.
Simply return the product to us, using the following address:
Arbonne Returns Department
RMA# RE0506

We appreciate your support and help and again, apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Sincerely,

I think that letter was for Vice Presidents and I doubt they wanted it posted on here as it was only for people who purchased that batch number. I had that batch and tried the toner myself and had no reaction, anyone else??

Katharine,
The information has been posted on the other rbon board, and other message boards, plus passed on from VP's to their teams to get the word out. I think it's ok to post here for information, but if you don't think it should be here, I can remove it.

I got that email and I'm not a VP, so I would think it's okay to post
here. I don't know if I am one w/ that batch, I haven't had time to
check to see yet.

How is it bad press that they are acknowledging and fixing a problem? I guess some people would run with it, but I think it shows they are trustworthy and helpful!
